Jose

Thanks Jose! I am looking forward to testing out the system on all 8 cylinders. Those broken spark plug wires were taking a toll on the dyno runs under 16lbs of boost. I have since swapped the plugs for some TR7 IXs and am rebuilding the spark plug wires. I also have an MSD ignition voltage regulator on standby to make sure the ignition is holding at 22vdc, if it for some reason starts to misfire again.

I am looking at a new run at 16# for base line without misfires, and then after that an 18-20# for testing.

Thanks

WELL its been a real educational tuning project!!
i have gone from knowing absolutely NOTHING to having a pretty good grasp i need to give thanks to quicksilver2002 for the help in educating me the tuning process and roadrebel for helping me configure things. anyway, i have a pretty nice data log that iam working with to get the ve tables in line. i will use some of the special features in the hp 2 bar eio, like the boost enrichment that works of map unlike pe that works of rpm which isnt always correct for fi guys.
i will run the car in closed loop.

as far as driveability the car is realllllllllll nice and still work to do

So you'll be running w/ 02's no maf right? Sounds good. How far into boost have you taken her so far?

well i havent been hanging on the board lately! been real busy with tuning.
well anyway i was data logging some nice sessions yesterday as it was the first day in a while where the humidity wasnt out of control!!!
the car is hands down smoothier then prevoius setup that ran maf. that set up was 231 237 598 112 caM and heads deal.

my current set up is the commanded af are set at 1.25 and the pe and boostenrichment is set at 1.246. open loop of course. the logs that i got show the car running in the non boosted kpas areas approx in the mid to low 13 a/f so that not to bad. i will probably change the commanded af to 1.13 which equals 13.1 af. 14.7/1.13=13.1 af. anyway, once the pe or the boostenrichment kicks in 105 and up, the af are running anywhere from 10.4 to 11.9 af. 14.7/1.246=11.8. so as you can see it's coming along

my plan, now is to adjust the ve tables in whatever cell that needs it until the WB02 reading equal whatever the pcm commanded are. when that is accoplished then i will reanable the closed loop and let the car run in stioch(spelling )
i must say though that it isnt that easy to "hit" all those cells in the histogram especially with and a4. need to hold it in first and rev it!

as far as boost levels yesterday i actually saw a boost spike of 9.9 psi but that was an anomally. i was consistantly seeing 7.5 psi and the car was pulling real hard.

i also wanna say that i had my concerns with turbo lag as that was a big discussion at one point on this board about this kit, i can honeslty say no frickin way!

i can only imagine how hard this thing is going to pull when its pushing 15psi and and i throw some timing in there.

please discuss your sd or maf tunings experience here!!!

Jay...yes it was and that being said there were to many bugs to work out. When I get my engine back we are just going to go with LS1 edit. Time to let others do the R&D. I just want my ride back
Yep no R&D for me...........that why we are using a LS2 block whit dry sleeves to give us a thick sleeved 383..........I must be

Looks like 3 more weeks......I hope

Good luck with it Gary.

Edit will work but not as well as the SD tune you get with HP when you get into the higher boost levels.
