Well I just got done racing a Turbo 350z, I ended up having to spray on him....After we raced he asked if I was spraying and I said no...He said spraying was cheating which I found mildly amusing pretty good excuse for losing I suppose...So the question is...Do you think nitrous is cheating?

Just curious - why did you tell the guy that you didn't spray? Not a flame, but your denial seems to suggest (at least to me) that you have some questions about its "fairness".
Back in the day (20+ yrs ago or so), I think it was more frowned upon, but now it seems to be somewhat accepted. Personally, I don't like nitrous and I refuse to use it. To each his own...

Personally I think power is power when you are on the street. If you are running two squirrels in a cage to make boost, so what..
When we run on the street (closed of course) no one is really honest about how much power thier car makes before the run. Afterwards if everyone is cool, I may tell them what I'm making and how, but not always.
This is how I feel. If you let your opponent know you are spraying then you are not cheating. I cant stand people that lie about their setup just to get a race so they can brag about beating you... I remember this guy in a mustang asking me for a race. He asked if I had nitrous and I told him yes. I asked him if he had nitrous and he said no, but he would not pop his hood even though I had mine open. He asked if I would race him off the bottle and he wanted to record the race. I took my bottle out and handed it to him and let him inspect for another bottle. Well we lined up and on 3 we took off. He got out 2 cars from the hit and by the time I hit the top of 2nd we were side by side and by the time I hit 4th I was out on him by 3 cars and still pulling away. We go back to the spot and the guy immediately swore I had another bottle. I told him to check again. He could not find anything. He comes back with he was spraying the hell out of me and his car makes 490rwhp on the spray!! I told him well my car makes 555rwhp on the motor Heavy Ford car and a passenger is no match for a light FRC with no passenger and a more powerful motor...

There are two types of racers ... Cheaters and Loosers ... Which one are you ?
Don't listen to these guys .... Do what ever it takes to ensure he sees your tail lights.
Just don't see the point in lying about it,unless its for money. If its just for fun you might as be honest.I hate it every time some kid comes up to me telling me a stock 03 cobra or a stock honda with only 7#s of boost wants to race me,and you know d m good and well its got a ported blower w/pulleys pushing close to 500rwhp and the honda is on 20#s.Just dont like people trying to play games with me.And when I win anyway they say I'm lying about my car being stock. If its all in fun and you know what your car runs whos cares if you win or lose
I think its only cheating when you are lying about it...or bending the truth a little about jets....etc...there sure are a lot of morons out there that lie big time about the juice...

I ran NOS for 6 years and rarely told anyone what i had ( unless it was a friend or someone Nice)
I remember racing highly modified rx-7 .. guy wasa total ******** cocky laughing at my T/A ... what not.
i beat him by 2 cars all the way up to 140..
hes like what do you have done? i told H/C
why should i give that *** .. the satisfaction of making an excuse that i was" spraying " ..
the way i see it , its no ones business what you have if you are racing someone you never met before.
Heck no it is not cheating, I can not sneak up on anyone with my DS1C except on the highway when they do not pay attention and then you know they get some good looking Vette butt to look at when the boost usleashes

Amen!
I won't flat out lie to someone, but I may minimize my gains. My answer to the commonly asked "How fast is it?", is typically, "...a little better than stock."

FI is FI. Just don't lie about it. (But that doesn't mean you have to blurt it out everywhere either)
