Build a 427 NA road racer.. put the efforts into brakes, suspension and driver. Something new for ya.
x100
take that P-car out on a real road course before you commit to buying anything else.
I wouldn't be surprised if it changed your whole perspective on cars after just one day.

yeah and thats what im scared of
one of my insureds did the tire racks 1 mile race event!!! said it was a total blast. maybe build a vette with sponsorship from ECS, RPM, a brake, shock VENDOR and ect...run their products.
they also rent pocono north course quite often....2X0 bucks each and they have the track all day.
I didn't know you used to race bikes. you should deff. sign up for a track day with the P-car, its only like $285 for the day.
I did the north course in the EVO before, it was a lot of fun. I'm doing Pocono long this Sunday in the vette. its not what I would consider a "real" road course but it does use two of the long straights from the NASCAR tri-oval and part of the infield section. The north course only uses one of the straights from the tri-oval (the smaller one) and runs the same in-field turns just in a different direction.
not to take this too far off topic, but to give you an idea here is a couple minute video from my last session of the north course in the EVO.
He's also got a Benz too! Nick's building quite the exotic stable!
Jay does have a point about investing in the wife! The saying goes: "A Happy Wife means a Happy Life!"
You could also build an FFR GTM and showcase your new shops fabricating ability! That along with the stuff that you did on your car would set your shop off.....not to mention that you could write the whole thing off as a business expense! Not a bad gig huh?

I do mostly HPDE's because that's where our customers are, Chris, myself and Bob are instructor's for NASA/PDA and teach our customers how to drive the car to best of our ability. If I go into all out racing, then I am taking away from that which is better for our customers sooo.. but trust me, we are racing out there all day, and we all know who wins or not.
At this point I almost have two track cars, the vert is going in for the power glide next week and makes retarded power for the street, and I have a coupe that is for road racing only. I drive Vettes all day 5 days a week, so I am happier just racing mine. Both the cars can be street driven fine, but I dont bother changing race pads or slicks any more unless there is a specific event I want to go to.
I think of it this way, the racing memories last much longer than the cruise to get ice cream memories do.
