Default Best (most user friendly) Boost controller??

Hey guys,

In your opinion, what is the best (not just expensive) electronic boost controller? I need to be able to dial in boost on the fly, have gear based boost, as well as be able to ramp boost over time or rpm.

I also need it to be user friendly, and doesn't take an electrical engineering degree to work.

curious to see what is said...i run an eboost 2 but i think that their might be better option out there.

Looks to me like the Eboost2 is a better packaged gauge/controller and the other big player is the Exile EBC which looks to be a little bit better of a controller but its a large box and not a nice small gauge. I would be curious to see what the differences are in the 2 and if anyone has used both. I find my Eboost2 a little complicated to use but there are some good writeups out there.

I know you stated that you want an EBC, but I've always been a fan of manual boost controllers. easy to use, cheap and effective. IMO the more features something has the higher the probability something will go wrong with it.. or in other words KISS.

If you want to go with that way of thinking then why not just run off the gate spring? All the features he said a MBC cant do at all..

because there is no flexability with running static pressure... that would defeat the purpose of using a boost contoller in the first place.

Ohhhhh, But you will my young grasshopper..

Lets just say I have completed my electronic boost controlled KB system.

Cliffnotes:
Infinate boost adjustability up to our maximim boost level, Ability to launch at pre-determined boost settings, ability to ramp boost ANY way you want, and the ability to have gear specific boost....

Basically you get the power delivery of N2o, the controlled boost like a turbo, and the boosting abilities of a PD blower.

Its a 100% plug-n-play system that can be easily adapted to ANY KB C5 or C6.

I designed this system to allow us KB guys to be able to launch at low boost settings, yet have the ability to ramp the boost back in without blowing off the tires.

Finally, at the flick of a switch, you can run the car in either 100% N/A mode, OR in the standard KB blown application.

I used to use innovative/exile but now I really like the Eboost2.

Much more controllable/stable boost. Boost per gear is awesome and it has nice outputs for shift light/etc.

i am hearing allot about this boost controller from our dealer and close friend
http://www.hksusa.com/categories/?id=1936
you can reed the specs on the left website bar also i understand that only need to dial in boost by PSI and it will do the rest instead of putting percentage of waist gate opening and it will handle the rest

thanks

That sounds a lot like this system here Am I right?

so sounds like my quick debate was settled by someone who has used both. Thanks!

The one thing i dont like about the eboost is setting boost levels by percents and not psi.
