Default Regrets?

I am thinking of adding a supercharger to my "Vet". This car will not be at the track or strip. I would just like the extra hp. Anyone have regrets from adding a sc. to there street car? Thanks for the input.

NO WAY! Your car will be just as streetable, but 50 times as much fun! Go for it and have no regrets, but if you don't do it, you will have regrets!

I have regrets every day. If you do it make sure you have enough money to build a forged engine.

Just do it. But set the tuning conservative unless you have a forged engine. I am currently limited to 6,000 rpm and 9.6 boast with 540 rwhp and no methane. The car is a lot of fun to drive on the street.

Tune it right and never worry. I have been boosted since 2006 with my stock motor, race it every weekend, and never worry. I dont take it easy either.....

Got this done last year and love it. Only issue is now I'm in for upgrading clutch and diff, plus I'm just now doing headers and valve springs. Bosst is addictive! Feed the beast.

Regrets? Tons. I learned the hard way. Ill start with the best advice first..... stay at or under 600 rwhp and you will have reliability BUT if your like most men you will get accustomed to the power in no time thus wanting more. I went the 800+ route after having a very reliable STS twin Turbo setup and got to drive the car maybe 3 weeks or so in 2 years....and I did everything I was told...forged, arp, Meth, tune, heads, intake, iron block..... ain't got sh•t but a shell of a car out front. Moral of the story....control yourself and you will have a blast, don't control yourself and your wallet will go for the ride of its life.

I can't imagine owning this car and not have it blown. If you have the finances to do it, I highly recommend. However, before making this "investment", one think to strongly consider is where you want your power... more on the low end or high end? If you prefer low end, go with a roots style (e.g. Maggie). If ***** to the wall high-end power is what you like, go with a Centrifugal (e.g. Vortech).

Let us know what you end up doing
