I don't know of any aftermarket shifters that will fit in the stock location. Some ( Dave Harris) have been creative in modifying the console so his shifter looks great in it.
Chances this would work as a shifter cable bracket? I know a weld is better but I'm only asking if the cable would be held in the bracket. If you know a better bolt in bracket that would work then please tell me.
The stock shifter actually works pretty well and is pretty accurate.. However, you won't be shifting it much anyway other then Park, Reverse, Drive. You'll want to let the ECU do all the shifting for you.
The stock shifter looks good in there. Most don't even notice mine is an auto.

Yeah, I'm not going to be shifting the thing. I wanted something less 90s looking. The base doesn't look as bad as I thought but the **** has got to go. And when can I pick up the converter?

Daniel I should be home from the track rental around 6pm if you want to come by tonight. Also I'm off on Monday. Just text me.. 409-539-8038
AJ, feel free to sell me your car when you get bored with it...
Hahaha Pete.. I have so much freakin money in this thing I couldn't even break half way even.. I'm stuck with this turd forever.. If this thing goes an 8.99, I'll be glad to keep it.. Lol
if you get the tcs2000, you will not need an auto harness from an 01+ car OR rpm's adapter harness, just the tcs2000 and hook to trans and ur good to go and tune it with the controller, not from the tuner himself? sounds like a lot easier route. i'd be spending close to $500 just for all the wiring compared to $700ish for controller.. seems worth the 200 to me!

Just to make sure.
1. Using the controller negates having to pin the PCM and the auto harness?
2. Then all that is needed is to run the wires to the tranny for the neutral safety switch?
3. What happens to the tune in the car. Any codes going to come up that can't be tuned out?
I'm not going to be making a ton of power but it sure seems easier to install and tune this way. TCI® Transmission Control Unit, is this the controller everyone is talking about because everyone is calling is a TCS2000. Is this something RPM sells?

You can get it thru RPM. They will also give you a transmission tune for it for their 4l60e, all you will have to change is shift points, converter lock, gear ratio and tire height.
This controller works well and is way easier then messing with converting your z06 ECU over to auto. A lot easier to tune and no torque management BS. Buy the harness with it for the 4l60e. Very simple to install, you'll only use like 6-7 wires out of the whole harness. It plugs in to the NSS and control plug on the trans. Very simple and works great.
Okay, they haven't shipped my stuff yet so I'll get this too. So I'll still need the auto harness or I guess you mean the correct harness for the 4L60e for that controller? If it's the latter it's not much more for the controller over buying the auto harness and C5 jumper so why wouldn't everyone go that route?
I'll tell them everything they need cause I haven't a clue about most of that since Ive never messed with tuning autos. The stall I got from you is a 3600? Maybe the software is easy too comprehend.

No auto harness just the wire harness for the pcs trans controller

Yes get the PCS harness, not the stock auto harness. You will do NOTHING with the stock OEM wiring harness (other then tap into a few wires), you do NOTHING with the stock ECU. This system is a complete stand alone. All you have to do is tap into the OEM TPS, Speed, rpm/tach, 12v switched
Wiring. You won't use the remaining 95% of the pcs wiring harness.
Yes the Coan converter is a "3600" that was originally bought thru Rpm.
Hell I can give you a copy of my Trans tune if you want. It's dialed in pretty well.
Gitty gitty, called RPM and they're going to send me a revised quote. Thankfully they were waiting on one part to ship everything out. All that will be left is the main part, transmission, which I'll get sometime this summer if not sooner.
