No, it got to dark and I have my car torn apart inside trying to get to the wire behind the cluster from a few days ago. I was changing the set points for final drive ratio and got it to read within 1mph by putting in 1.18 instead of what you had which was 3.729, lol.

Tire size
Controller = 25.33
hptuners = 25.21

here's a screenshot of the numbers (didn't change anything). Look right for my setup minus tire size?

AJ, if you go into the pcs software and want to use "Test Mode" will it actually switch gears using the software by selecting manual mode and clicking upshift or downshift? Cause it won't for me.

I will be off tomorrow and will be driving it tomorrow.

I don't know about manual mode... I've never tried any of that stuff.. I bet your car shifts now tho..

You will also notice a 15% difference in TP% from pcs to HPT.....its normal.
I bet your car shifts fine tomorrow. You may have to tweak the shift points some but... I doubt it..

Best thing is to drive it with the pcs and HPT software open at the same time and compare them. Keep an eye on the tranny temp as well.

Also on your pcs settings, I have never seen that 3.72 final drive ratio before...nor that 25.33" tire height..

You sure you have the tune I sent you correctly loaded in the pcs box?

I haven't really messed with the software that much. It doesn't seem as simple as hptuners when you want to just load it and then log it. I'll have to do some reading to make sure I'm doing it right.

I just opened your file and no I have no idea how to load a tune I guess because it's not like the pic I posted. Rear end is 3.42 and pulses per mile is 31000.

I had to adjust the TPS voltage in the tune as it was way off.

idling
hptuners - 8%
pcs - 4-5%

cruising at 60mph
hptuners - 20%
pcs - 33%

Car shifts great now. But the engine is running hot. I thought maybe I had air pockets in the system since I had the heads off and haven't run the car that much. But idling and low speed it runs around 205, anything above say 40mph it's running around 235 and when that happens my oil pressure is around 24psi at idle but goes up quickly as the rpms climb.

I did about a 15 mile drive and the tranny temp never went above 170* and it's around 93* outside.

Thanks for the auto tune AJ. It shifts at almost 6500. I did a 2-3 pull but my meth kit is acting up for some reason. I also had a tclamp that was hand tight on the run and made 8 psi.

At 114mph the IAT went from 108* to 160* and killed the power. I got no knock but it pulled timing down to 7.5* I don't understand why it's cutting off but it does about 2 to 3 times on that run and a following run.

I love the auto and especially in traffic I was really tired of switching gears and the gearing in the Z made it annoying. It pulls great and I don't lose all the boost during shifts like I did with the 6 speed. Now I haven't went ***** out for more than 10 seconds though. My meth kit isn't acting up either. For some reason my IAT is giving me hell by reporting a false temp which brings the timing from 12 to 6. Once I get that fixed and a fuel pressure regulator up front I'll be getting it retuned by a pro this winter.

I would've replied sooner but I couldn't find the thread as I never look at the stickies

So I've had the auto for a while but rarely drive the car as I'm working on the engine tune. With a Centri what should I shift at? Should I set the shift so it'll fall down to 4500rpm, 5000rpm, ???? Or I have to do this at the track?

This is with the manual and I replaced the valve springs and pushrods with something more beefier as I was told I had valve float up top.

6500-6600..

Probably about where its shifting now with the tune I gave you.

Btw how many rpms does it drop on shifts? I'm curious as to how that converter is working behind your motor... I was seeing about 800 rpm drop after shifts with your converter... Ironically I see the same rpm drop with my new tight converter...

I haven't driven it much and have only done a few WOT blasts for a second or two at a time. I'm worried about getting busted by the police since it doesn't take long to get to fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ticket speeds.

I know it does shift around 6350 and the rpms drop to around 4600-4800rpm I believe. It seems to pull better after shifting then it does higher up before shifting. But I'm working on my tune as I'm getting knock at top cutting my timing to 8*. I'm not using meth now as I have a remote tuner trying to fix the tune. One day I won't get knock and the next I get loads of it and not just at WOT.

I lowered it to 6k on the PCS just because I'm trying to tune it on meth and playing it safe. Is this to much of a drop with the stall? I'm off Tuesday and will get a smaller belt and t bolt clamps which should fix my problem. If not I think the next issue might be the filter, but that's free to check

2nd to 3rd w/6k rpm shift point

6,221 rpm @ 78mph and drops to 5,194 rpm in 3rd.

Dimentially, yes... 97-04 all fit the same. There are some differences, but they all fit.

Plus shipping? That aint gonna be cheap and best believe it'll be a lot of "handling". The one I got from RPM was a completely rebuilt one for 750.

It's only about 4 hours away. I could go pick it up. Just starting my search for parts to do the swap. Hawks Third Gen has it. Then again I may just keep shopping around.

Have fun, you'll save a lot of money doing it yourself. I love the auto since I have a centri and shifting with the manual killed the boost during shifts. If you have any questions don't be shy cause I sure wasn't

The install sucked *** but it was worth it.
