Why would you choose a blower cam. What kind of compression are you targeting?

The blower cam isn't too far off from what I was running, just with more exhaust and a higher LSA to remove the overlap. And yea, it was $200
Was running:
228/228 602/602 112 (4 degrees of overlap)
now
228/236 588/602 116 (no overlap)
I don't have a "Target" compression. My compression is whatever my shortblock with -3cc pistons and 317s net with LS9 gaskets. I'll probably have the heads cut .010 just to clean them up. Its going to end up near 9:1

If you haven't bought the cam yet i would go with something different. 9-1 compression and a late IVC isnt going to be as fun to drive around. I would also get rid of some of the exhaust duration. More exhaust isn't going to be doing that small turbine any favors.

Don't worry about it. I'm running a cam that would be shunned by internet forums for my setup. 402TT, just shy of 9:1, with 243/251 116lsa adv. 4deg on LSL lobes. In 6th gear at 1700rpm on highway I can throttle it and get 3-4psi. Plenty of grunt down low, and goes nuts up top when it's play time.

Painful to see that. Good luck getting the car back on the road.

Still shooting for that, but its going to be tough since Jegs backordered my head gaskets. They'll get here Friday. AFTER my whole week off is over.
