Techron additive....
A forum member had told me to put in Techron additive when my fuel gage went haywire and it fixed it before I even got back from the gas station! However I have got to say there was an added bonus!
I thought my car was running perfect, but after that treatment I couldn't believe the difference in smoothness and power. I mean it was dramatic! I bought it used with 19000 mi. and It has never run like this.
I can't believe what I was missing!
I am a true believer in Chevron gasoline now, and HIGHLY recommend that treatment even if you think yours is perfect........
I love this forum!!!
Chevron Techron can be bought at a lot of auto supply places. It's a simple liquid additive for gas - about $10 a bottle, I think. Chevron gasoline has this additive already. Keeps everything inside all nice a squeaky clean for me! Whenever I've had the gas guage problem, one bottle added has taken care of the problem for months.
I've always had good luck with Chevron gas, and I probably should run another bottle of the techron through it as I havent done so in awhile...Havent seen the need lately since my fuel gauge has been working

I am not trying to burst your bubble but Techron will not solve all problem with the fuel gauge. The dealer replaced my sending unit etc... and I still have a gas guage that is wonky..
