[UPDATE] Vette Accent Graphics...First pics!!
U P D A T E ..4/25/05 I'm expecting the second revision for the rear blackout kit this week and will test again on local CF members vette. I'm hoping this will be the last revision and I can start to get back to all the interested members that have been so patient.Hang in there I'll post close up picks asap and give you purchase options. Thanks all for being so patient. This is a very tedious process of testing and I just want this right ..the first time!!

Now..For those you haven't seen this post before... I'm trying to start a small company to keep myself busy while I'm between businesses and I was looking for some feedback from my brethren here on the forum. I need some real world feedback here. I hope you will be fair and honest. If I get favorable results, the finished products will be available shortly off a website that I am working on and listed with this forum with the appropiate sponsorship paid fee.
4/08/2005 UPDATE Well, today was the first opportunity ti test the aplication of the "Illusion" accent graphics . It was a learning experience to say the least and somewhat a tedious install but...
I think the finished look came out pretty good considering some of the install glitches I ran into with all those contours and curves in the rear fascia. Only when you get up real close do you see the imperfections.
I now believe that the rear fascia will be in at least 3 distinct pieces, maybe even 4. My objection originally was there would be visible seams but with the quality black removable vinyl I'm using the seams appear to disappear!!
I LIKE that part from a install point of view.Anyway the pics are below of Bob's (16Again)Silver Coupe. Thanks again Bob for the field test..
Let me know what you think. I will be cutting up a few more "REVISED" kits to be installed locally here in South Florida before they are ready for retail. I want these to be easy to install and give you all "WOW" reaction when you show off the graphics to friends and family..

What specifically would you like to see..?

But I think the shadows impact the dimensional effect of the graphic. Again, I really like the application...just trying to suggest enhancing your presentation.....
Thanks Josh,In a word YES..but I haven't set up pricing yet , but it will be reasonable

Car really looks unique
As Vince said above, the install was not as easy as he wanted. Vince did find however that going with multiple pieces (3 maybe 4) for the lower panel on the rear will make life much easier. As stated the seams just disappear. I really like the black lower rear panel and never got up enough nerve to paint it. This is the perfect alternative to having your car painted.
Now I have the look without sending my car to the bodyshop.
Bob
Great idea...
I for one have considered blacking out the underside of the rear fascia but would be very interested in a quality product that can be TEMPORARY if I don't like it (I just have this built in resistance to letting anyone paint my car if it doesn't actually need it - call me crazy).
What types of prices are we looking at for this stuff?
There's a company in downtown Dallas that will cover an entire car with this stuff for different custom designs, but I'd much rather support a fellow forum-er.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Costs will be reasonable. The rear fascia will be in the $75.00-$99.00 range. I'm trying to get the 3 piece kit in the $149.00 range. Perhaps even less with some quantity. I'll break down all the pricing once I've completed the install applications. Right now I'm focused on easy installation.
There will be several colors available especially for the darker blues and Black. I even have the option to go with a Carbon Fiber vinyl!
REMEMBER..These are removable but look like a permanent satin matte black paint finish..Stay tuned

I'd also be interested to see how it looks on a darker color.
Not sure yet. JMHO

Great price, too !!!
What vinyl are you using?
BTW, good luck and congrat on this new C5's products!

-Mike
***BTW, I don't think the front peice will work because of rock chips unless you are using super thick vinyl ... ... just my $0.02

REALLY nice !
For instance there have been suggestion for a Red or several shades of Grey for the Black cars. I can go with different shades of Blue for the Navy and EB Blue. There's a rainbow out there, just a personal choice I guess..
