Let us know how it went.......... and perhaps get us his address. When we do our "pay-it-forward" near Christmas, I would like to remember him as well!

Absolutely awesome! You're a good man and represented the forum well. Please send my thanks for his service to our country and for his still strong enthusiasm for America's sports car.
Now, if you really want to put a huge grin on his face, hand him the keys when you see him next time . . .
This would have never happened if it weren't for the Vette (or the VET). I have met some really great people (vette owners) since I traded my F-150 for this car a few months ago and I hope to meet many more...
Be sure to take the time to talk to him before, during, and after the ride.I love talking to people older than me.You will gain more from the experience than he will.He will be looking back and you will looking forward. That is what life is about.
Man, that is really cool. Makes me think of the time I was able to give my grandfather a ride in the vette. He passed away less than 2 months later. It's something I will never forget. You're a good man!

I once was told that everytime an old person dies it is like a library burns down. Check out whatever books this guy offers up.
