I'm inclined to agree, but you can't blame a guy for wishful thinking.

msrp and being ripped off are two entirely different circumstances
I doubt that the install will be a direct bolt-in but it may not be too difficult. You still have to consider that the LS7 uses dry-sump oiling system and butterfly valves in the exhaust system that open at WOT to get exhaust flow up. The battery is mounted in the trunk. I believe the engine mounts are different and the exhaust headers will probably not match up to the available space. With the new PCM (and lack of tuning capability until it is released) I would figure you can make better power by modding existing LS6 motors. No big reason to swap to a 427 LS7.

LS7 bolts in --motor mounts, bellhouseing match, steering clears__but new engine uses a completely different PCM with all New type connectors that donot match any of C5 engine management sensors. The C5.Battery moved to rear, bigger radiators, coolers etc.BETA test cars have been running this set up for over two years.
Correct, so you'd need to locate those parts under the hood somewhere, but I would suspect it could be done as the C5 was used as a c6 mule.
The exhaust is really not an issue. That more to control noise than anything else.
because of the dry sump, and alos to help weight distro, but mostly because of the dry sump. But the same can be accomplished witha battery relo. kit on a C5.
I have not heard of a mount change, so I don't think this is the case. The exhaust port location is the same as other heads, so headers aren't an issue AFAIK.
you can use your existing PCM. There is no way an 346 ls6 with a head flowing 100 cfm per port less on the intake side is going to beat a 427 with better internals, etc...
No but 346 to 422 vs new 427
I'm not betting 427 here

We will sell them for 12595. If anyone is interested please let me know!
Thanks.

I'm interested, but I would like additional information covering what would be required (parts, modifications, etc.) to install this engine into a 2002 Corvette Coupe, at least at a high-level.
been down this road(trying to retro) or bring my older gm muscle car up to date..ugh-i still don't think it was ever worth the hassel and $$,well once in awhile it was..but i think if i want the new stuff -just buy the new Z and make the payments...
