Nope you are absolutely wrong my friend. I am sympathetic towards every Corvette Forum member that had any problems with venders. I have also expierenced difficulties with Corvette venders and other businesses in the past. But, I feel that each and everyone of us need to take the responsibility and handle the situation ourselves. Just look at it from the venders side of the issue. You have a problem with a customer and all of a sudden you get blasted with e-mails and calls from "Joe Schmo" about this customer. I would be pretty ticked. Why would I answer questions regarding "Bob's" transaction if "John" gives me a call. That would be unethical. Would you want your Doctor to discuss your Herpes problem with your next door neighbor???
Customer satisfaction and support are at a all time low in America compaired to the other parts of the World. We do it to ourselves. Some Americans refuse to take responsibility for their own problems. I've been in the Military for 13 years now and I'm in the communications business. The Army is being ran like a corporate business these days. If I provide crappy service to a customer, you better believe I will here about it. Example: If I provide coms. for 1st Brigade and they are totally dissatisfied, I will here the complaints (a$$ chewing) from the 1st Brigade Commander, my Commander, and my supervisor. I won't here complaints from 2nd Brigade, G2, G3, or DIVARTY.
Too many times have I seen Corvette forum members jump on the "band wagon" and bash people just because somebody was having a bad day. That's not team work people. Just the other day I scolded a young man on the forum for posting pics of his wife's **** and *** cheeks hanging out. I never told him to remove the pics, but I got flamed for 2 days straight because some other forum members didn't get a chance to see his wife's *** crack and ****. Same thing happened with the onlinetire situation and the same thing is happening here. That's does not sound like teamwork and a tightly knit unit to me.
Ya know I disagree here. I like you are in the military also. AF for 10 years now, so as far as that goes I understand you. I did EXACTLY what I would do if this was a problem at work. I tried to handle it at a low lvl. I did this for more than long enough 1.5 weeks. Then i went up the chain of command. I got a name from a different forum of a guy that supposedly helps you out. At that time I had no idea he was the VP. If so I would have just talked to who ever was the manager of sales, but hey. Anyway, he blew me off also, a long with everyone in there department (squradon, brigade, whatever). Now what to do next. You go to your First Sergent or Commander and tell them you were disrespected and treated unfairly to get help. Well guess what.................CF is my First Sergent/Commander, and I hope someone here know what to do!!! Think of it like that for a bit.........

I totally disagree with you my friend. You are right about the chain-of-command. CF is way out of the chain on this matter. By reading your original post, it seems that the problem was finally fixed by Eckler's. The state and local government agencies have Better Business Bureaus for this kind of matter.
By the way, I called Eckler's a few moments ago. They should be contacting you soon. Have a great day people.

Hmm Point taken. I just hope it never happens to any else and those of you that have had great buisness always get it! I thought this was a great place to go to get help. I think it still was, hey even you made a phone call for me. :-) To be honest I didn't want anybody to call complain. I don't even need them to call me now. What they did is done and it is too late for appoligizes I belive. I just want people to know what happen and let them make the choice to buy form them. This thread was purly information about what haapened to me by them. That is all.

This kind of stuff happens everyday in every business. Just got to handle your business. I was the victum of ID theft a few months ago. Someone in Las Vegas opened a cellphone account in my name. The cell company called me every week threating me and wanting their money. It took me 3 months and umpteen phone calls and letters to fix the problem and all I got was a letter saying, WE WROTE IT OFF AS ID THEFT. I was just glad I didn't have to pay the $2200 bill. Have a good night.
I think the forum should step in and tell this 'supporting vendor' they also have an obligation to this forum and it's members. They should be forced to address this in a public venue...this one! After all a vender doesn't and shouldn't be able to continue in that role when they treat us (their customers) this way.
So moderators, could they be contacted by the forum management and told to address this issue.....shouldn't the forum enforce some level of responsibility on our supporting venders? With this kind of attitude they really don't deserve to be one of our special 'supporting venders', do they?????
Well I just got an email pointing me to a thread about rules. I am not sure if I am reading corectly, but it seems I might have broken forum rules by posting this thread. Here is the thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...42&forum_id=34
I am askikng for this thread to be locked, since by my understand I did. Thanks and Sorry!!!
Well I've read enough bad stories about Eckler's to make up my mind. Thanks for starting this thread and thanks to the others who told their stories...good and bad.
I was just making a wish list for father's day and birthday, I'll go back and make sure Eckler's is not one of the suppling vendors.
I received another Eckler's catalog in the mail today. They are great to look at, find your part, and the look elsewhere. I read all of these posts earlier and remember someone saying that Eckler's prices are competitive. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! They must be smokin' crack. Either that or they are too lazy to shop.
