Default Eckler's Sucks!!!!!!!!!

It has been a total of 3 weeks now and I can't take it anymore. I can't describe how much I hate this company. Little back ground hre for starters. Breathless Performance Heat Extraction Hood. Ecklers is the only place you can get this damn thing. I currently have this hood on my car. My car is sold(being sold after this), but I had a minor accident day of sale. No biggie buyer is still buying after I fix it.
Ok so I start calling Ecklers (international sales cause I live in Germany), and emailing them so I can get a quote for shipping. I did this for a week!!! I never once got anybody to answer the phones. I only left messages, and never got any responses from emails. Ok so the next week I call normal sales. I tell them I need a shipping quote for the hood and they say they can't help i have to go to international sales. they transfer me. Guess what. No answer and more messages. Now I am really pissed so i do search on the internet to find out names for Ecklers Management. I find a post on Z06Vette forum here it is http://www.z06vette.com/forums/archi...p/t-77830.html In here i get a the name of Mike Wilson. I call Ecklers back and get transfered to him. Guess What..............yup no answer. So I leave a message. I waited a couple hours no call back so I once again call Ecklers and ask who this guy is. he is the VP, so I ask to talk to someone else there tell my huge story and I get transferred to Diane or Deby or something like that, and you guess it no answer and I leave a message. Ok is anyone else seeing something strange with this routine. No one ever answers the phone, but yet everytime I call I wait for ever to talk to a customer service (ya right) rep and it always a different person. Anyway, about an hour later I finally get a call back from an international sales person names Linda. I tell her the story get the quote for the hood. That was about last Wed or Thur. Go Monday since there is no holiday here in Germany for memorial day, and they say cool order it. I call Linda back ( yes i know it is a hloiday, but this way she has it first thing tuesday), and say bill and ship. I also leave my email address and tell her to email me the info. Tuesday....nothing. So I call her extension and guess what.............. no F*&%(** *^&%( (&*&^ answer again!!!!!! I leave a message.
Wednesday, today, I call Linda, no answer, leave another GD message. Wait awhile and I can't do it anymore. I call back and ask to talk to Mike wilson again, no answer. Call back and ask to talk to the manager of sales John Kinast, get transferred and no answer. I Don't leave messages anymore, because all they would consist of would be cursing. Call back and I tell the ladie to walk around find John!!! Now I get transferred and can you believe he answers. I tell him my name and say, " ya i know you, you are the one that has left mesages to Mike, Debbie, and everyone else here."
Ok now I ant to go throught the gad damn phone and kill him. They all know be name and yes they do have my international number casue he read it to me, yet no one ever F*%^$ called me!!!!! I try to tell him my story and he stops me and says, " ya I don't know much about this so let me get Deb," I say, "I never talked to her I talked to Linda" "Fine I will get her then". Now I have Linda and John on the phone and he asks, "ok do you need to make an order." "No I have it bill and ship it," I say. The last thing John (this great manager says) is, "ok then I will let linda help you out." Click and he is gone. No sorry, no have a great day, no nothing. Fine whatever lets get on with it. First thing I ask linda was if she got any of my messages, "oh ya, but I have been so busy I honestly forgot about them." Ok I think to myself " die please!!" I say bill and ship please. Ok then it done.
The last thing I say before getting off the phone is, "you have been helpfull, but I hope to never have to use this company again!!" Her quote, "Ya I could see that." Click and end of conversation!
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the worst company in the world. I wish I could steal one of my F-16's and drop a GBU on this GD company.

0 emails answered
0 appolgies
0 discounts
I highly recommend to take this vendor off the forum (Z06vette did like a year ago). I highly suggest to all to never, ever, ever, ever, ever use them. Just don't!!!! You can get all there stuff anywhere else (minus the Fing hood). I seriously hope this company goes bankrupt and all there employes have to live on the street.

P.S. I hope this isn't to negitive (only to our forum memeber and mods)( could give to poops about ecklers feelings). OH and please go easy on the spellin errors. No spell check and highly pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just hope I get the damn hood now?!!

Had the same problem about 4 months ago........Ordered a wiring harness....It took them 6 months to get it to me and never apologized.....Told me they would throw in a free Ecklers T-shirt for the wait......Never saw it !!!!! I will not do business with them again

There have been numerous threads on here recently about problems with Eckler's. Sounds like they are not worthy of being a CF Supporting Vendor to me. While those decisions are obviously not up to us, the only thing we have left to do is BOYCOTT them and pass that on to anyone we know who owns a Vette.

Same thing about a year ago. Maybe their phones and computers have a firewall or something that limits their ability to return messages... I havent used them since.

wow i never got nothing from them.i get there catalog and skim through it once in awhile.But will not buy from them now.ill go to someone else.

I've purchased many items from Eckler's over the past two years and have had no problems at all. In fact, they have been more courteous and have given better prices, shipped it out fast, etc.

However, I can sympathize with your plight. Hopefully, someone in management there will read your post.

Boy, sounds like lots of people have had bad experiences. Just for balance, my experiences with Eckler's has been nothing but very good. Sales and customer service has always been excellent and I've bought a lot over the past couple of years. Not saying others have not experiences otherwise I''m not being contrary, just balance.....

When I hear multiple negative things about a vendor on the forum it make me very concerned about ever using them to purchase anything. There are soo many other vendors, why even chance that kind of hassle.

I just ordered their catalog and am having serious doubts about purchasing anything from this company. Is there a similar company that rates higher on the customer satisfaction meter?

Wow, sorry to hear that you're having all these problems. I hope everything works out for you. I have used Eckler's on quite a few occasions and I've never had any problems. In fact, I bought stuff from them while I was stationed in Korea and had no problems. They just sent the items to my APO AP address. But they were small items, not an entire hood. I know they are kind of steep on the prices, but I used them in the past because of their selection. I visited their location a few years ago. Nothing very impressive about the facility but the people were very helpfull and courteous. Good luck with your quest for the hood.
