I've used them several times too and never had problems, but they sure have gotten a lot of bad press around here lately. Makes me not want to push my luck.
I just ordered their catalog and am having serious doubts about purchasing anything from this company. Is there a similar company that rates higher on the customer satisfaction meter?
My number one choice is west coast corvettes. Ask for Gerene ext. 211. And tell her Derek Miller sent ya. i love that place and she is awsome. Hell I have bought so much stuff there I am a silver member and get an automatic 10% discount on anything I buy. Only a couple hundred bucks from going gold and getting a lifetime 20% discount. Next Goal is Platmium baby!!!!!
Midamerica is number 2 on my list

I started a thread awhile back asking "What's the scoop with Ecklers" because I had heard a lot of negative comments about them recently. I got mixed reviews, some good some bad. Off the top of my head I'd say 50/50 good/bad. I placed an order because they have a few items I couldn't find elsewhere. If I don't receive my order by the end of this week as promised I'll call and cancel and if they give me any lip I'll sick VISA on them. No time for games here, life's too short! They'll either deliver as promised or I will cancel my first and last order with them.
Unless it's only a one-of-a-kind item that you can get there and NOWHERE else on the planet, only an idiot would waste money dealing with these overpriced, attitude lacking morons.
Notice they make no waste of time getting a catalog to you but beyond that -
Woud be interesting to see how many have filed complaint with BBB on them.
Too bad all the pages are high gloss in the catalog, else I'd find another good use for it in the "study room"
I hope this spreads across this forum like wild fire, and everyone has something to say or will at least learn something form this. Also in no way am attacking anyone that had a good experience there. I wish this was a one of kind thing that happened but after reading it isn't. Just rember that!!!!

There is NEVER an excuse for poor customer service. There are many reasons....but never an acceptable excuse. EVERY customer deserves to be treated with courteous respect Not getting back to a customer tells me that Ecklers just doesn't care.....If they don't....why should we.
You've got my support. My money is too precious to spend it with someone that doesn't value ME as a customer.
Sorry to hear about your service, there is absolutely no excuse for that, the reason it is is because they dont care. period.
Thanks for the heads up, I have their catalog that a friend gave me, I will never buy anything from them. Especially treating a serviceman that way that is out of the country.
Only if I need the part asap I drive over to Titusville and get it... I usually pay cash because I don't even trust them on credit card transactions because of their horrible reputation....
I think the forum should step in and tell this 'supporting vendor' they also have an obligation to this forum and it's members. They should be forced to address this in a public venue...this one! After all a vender doesn't and shouldn't be able to continue in that role when they treat us (their customers) this way.
So moderators, could they be contacted by the forum management and told to address this issue.....shouldn't the forum enforce some level of responsibility on our supporting venders? With this kind of attitude they really don't deserve to be one of our special 'supporting venders', do they?????
