This is an excellent option for an open trailer. t-hooks to attach to your jacking puck holes and 5000 lbs ratchet straps.
Use the x pattern;
left front puck hole to the right front trailer tie down
right front puck hole to left front trailer tie down
X
X
and same for the rear.
Many ppl have just use the a-arms.
However, over time the a-arm will bend and these ppl keep wondering why their cars alignment is not what it use to be and they can not get it back. Well, HELLO ???The other thing that many ppl dont think about is the tow vehical. What is your tow vehical?? Need at least a 1500 for an open trailer. Lots of ppl tried derango's or cherokees even with V8s
not quite enough there even with a wieght distrabution hitchI use a Silverado 1500 HD and it is ok, to pull a Pace 24' enclosed with a weight distrabution hitch, however, on the highway when those 18 wheelers fly by, man I am doing the wiggle dance between the truck and the trailer with that suction from the 18 wheelers.
Learned how to left foot brake and right foot on the gas those big trucks fly by.Good luck-
Oh the larger your trailer the more junk you will find to fill and take to the track with you. Boy do I know this one.

Mine is the beaver tail design and has a small extension on the rear door/ramp. Makes all the difference in the world. Plus I use the tongue jack to raise the front of the trailer to assist with angle and to steady it. I have gotten spoiled with the enclosed though. AC/Heat, TV/DVD, Microwave, refrigerator, we race some, vidoe some, go back to the trailer between rounds and watch it on TV. We even stay over night some in the trailer with the car setting under the awning at night.
