I suggest you PM this guy. Bruce just had his wifes car done and was real happy with the job. FYI he lives in your town. Just tell him 3-D sent you... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/member.php?u=55613
You tinted the windshield? is that smart/safe? Any pics?
I only went 35% and you can see out of it fine. I can actually read my HUD easier with the darker windshield. Unfourtnately we have had snow and I haven't had a chance to take any pics yet. Maybe this weekend I will back it out and take some.
I got mine done in limo tint. I think the guy said it was 7%. I love the way it looks on the silver in the daylight and nobody can see in at the redlight. The downside is that it is very hard to see out of at night. The biggest problem is when your going down the road and you need to turn left into your driveway or something and you look out the side window but can't see much unless there is some kind of outside lighting (street light or something).
I used to get the Limo tint on my cars but found there were times (backing up @ night) that I couldn't see as well as I would have liked and that made me very uncomfortable. I now go with 10% on the rear and eyebrow (top 6-7" of windshield) and 50% on the front doors. I think it looks classy, it's easier to see out of and works great.
