The question on the body side moulding is an option on the 04 Z06. memory seats and the rear view mirror to automaticaly dim are the other options. good luck, you will enjoy.

Good luck with your car! Do not be overly influenced by all of the "negotiators" offering their .02! If you feel comfortable with the deal, then go for it! As you have said, their are several variables to the equation - dumping your existing loan, getting approved on a new one at your age, getting a good warranty, etc., etc. I agree with some of the folks - the side stripe wouldn't make it for me - but that can be dealt with. There are a lot of Z's around for sale at any given time - YOU are the final decision-maker! Good luck!

They said it should be no problem though. It's a silver one with red stripes on the side? I've never seen a z06 like this b4. They said it came from the factory like that. Could someone please tell me what it is or the rpo? Also the interior is red and black. Wish me luck!!!

I've seen this car before, the old owner i think lives out near my parents. I've seen the car drive by while i was at their house. I actually like the looks of it, i think it was owned by an older fellow but im not for sure.

However, i do know the dealer and honestly i have no problems with them they are a pretty good family.

I just looked on the dealers website for more pictures and I see it is listed with 20,141 miles with an asking price of 38,995.

I don't doubt you have seen it b4 as I am buying it in OK. That's makes me feel better.

Quikesilver is a sharp color. If the red inserts are a decal and not painted you might want to get a blow dryer and start pealing. The other option is paint the BSM the same color. I wish you the best but your driving other person's concept of beauty. Your already unique, stay that way. Just my opinion and only meant to support not to down you.

yeah good luck with it, i mean check it out real good before you buy it of course just in case but i know i have seen it around. Its hard to miss. I really wish i had more info, im pretty sure the car is from the norman area where the dealer is, out in the country too. I may know someone who knows the old owner, that type of thing because the car has come up before in conversation.

I was able to fine it. click on additional pics than click on the ordo pic. However, I am still suspect now. They are not stock wheels, nice but not stock.

I was told they'll swap some stock ones from another off their lot for me if I want but I like those. Also he said he drove it about 400 miles to do all his tests and reports on it and now it has 10600 or so. I'm not too concerned. I'll drive it some, get my thrills and try to lock it up and keep the mileage low. I can't wait!

The stripes are NOT a factory option. I would be concerned that the wheels, which did not come chromed from the factory, are after market wheels that are heavy. Repainting a silver car is expensive and hard to match. The $38,000 price is not a great price. You can even find a lower mile car for less if you are willing to wait and look. I paid $34k for a 6k mile car. I also think the red stripes should bring the value down and make it a much harder car to sell. They look "pimpy".
I would not trust this dealer and so a car fax would be a must. What is the wear on the rear tire? Are they the original Goodyear Super Car tires? Good luck- you will love the Z

It is hard to tell for sure but it looks like the rear tires are not Goodyear Super car tires in which case the car was raced and maybe abused. if the rear tires are not original I would pass on it. No great deal at $38k. Let us know about the tires.

But keep in mind I'm 21, my wife is 19
You are way to young to be married, yet alone buy a Z06. Just kidding.

The best car to buy would be one that is OEM stock. Then you can be sure it wasn't screwed up in any way. I'll sell you my 2003 MY Z06 that doesn't even have 2800 miles on it for $40K.

Links didn't work with firefox. Tried it in internetexploder and now I see it.

Pics were all from the time of original owner bringing it in I'd guess. Still has a real plate on it.

I'll take back my . Enjoy it.

I find it funny how he specifically said the previous owner ordered it like that. I red that interior only came in 500 or so of the Z's is that true? I'm learning alot about these wonderful machines specifically just from reading all the posts in the faq and thank you guys for all your inputs and anything else I learn about this car!

EDIT Can someone maybe runa carfax on it for me? Thanks!

EDIT AGAIN
Can someone point out the BSM for me? Sorry if I sound dumb now but I never saw one with/without (body side moldings right?) Unless that's just the black vent thing, I don't mind that too much.

I think it is Machine silver (04), and not quicksilver. This stripe's need to peel off, If they don't you will have to repaint. Not good for resale case
you need to sell it.Wheels MAY be an issue with somebody looking
for complelely stock.

ADVICE,,, don't get in a hurry, You will be better off, since this the time of to park them anyway, to try to sell your car, You should see what
you get for your car. and take any extra money, after payoff as down. Plus save
all you can
between now and then. You will then
have more bargain power. easier to get a loan. and a better
deal over all. With some as down payment. While you sell car Keep looking, There are better
deals, Should have like new supercars. Otherwise it may have been beat some.
My car 02 with 18,000 the tires look to be less than half gone.
This is a big purchase for you. better check insurance costs
Mine was 3600.00 extra to plate it also.
best of luck, You will get her done, take your time, plan on getting one
by april. Consider maybe any low mileage 02-03 also will save you and
get you the same car for less. Keep asking stuff here!

I would walk away from that car. There are plenty of Z06's out there.

I don't really see the problem here...I'm getting it for 39 out the door, plates and all with extended warranty...so what if it has red stripes...I'm not fond but I never did care too much about looks, I mean it's a corvette so naturally it looks good. I will find out about the tires and the dealer will have the car fax for me monday as I don't have a fax for him to get it to me. Besides, I'd rather drive my 90 vette than my celica in the winter cause I am sick of the celica. I might as while trade in the celica since it will fetch me more than the corvette. I appreciate all the opinions and concerns but I think 39 out the door with full payoff of the celica is worth it. If anyone felt like running a carfax for me though that would be awesome and really help me decide.

The problem with the stripes is what happens if you need to sell the car and they're not vinyl?

It will detract A TON off the value of the car and no one will want to touch it. All of a sudden you've lost a whole bunch of money and you can't sell the car.

Make SURE it's removable before you buy the car. And if it is, go with stock rims. They are fantastic, strong, and light rims. Those aftermarket chrome knock-offs are junk in comparison IMO. And, again, detract value.
