Can you burn them from a standing start with a 4AT in Comp Mode?

I have a 4.10 also. I use a line lock, and at the drag strip, I do my burnout in second gear. Gets more heat to the tires as they are spinning more RPMs.

NOT trying to **** anyone off

but if you own a vette, you should know how to smoke your own tires.

I was smoking tires before I had a DL. and if you need to ask what gear go try it in first if you like it and it works then you have your answer if not try second. cars are for fun (at least sports cars) PLAY with them.

but to answer first and second will work, but second is mainly for more heat and a longer roll out. first is easier on parts and takes less effort

Line-Lock allows front brakes to remain engaged and rear brakes are released.

Someone who wants to turn $400 a piece tires into smoke is worried about how much a line lock costs??? Now that's a good one. Now I've heard it all.

I always wondered if i should do my burnout in first or second, i have a z06, i can do one no problem without even trying but not sure which gear i should keep it in and one burnout is not going to kill your tires, IDM must have done like 20 burnouts on his toyo tires and still has plenty of tread

I just turn the traction control off in my Z. I take off like normal and just mat it once the clutch is all the way out. There is more than enough torque to light up the top half of first and get a good 30 to 40 feet of second. By time i run out second i am going way too fast for city streets anyway.
