Burnouts 101.....
Put in a line loc, you can smoke'em all day!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
1. Make sure the car is in Comp Mode otherwise the car will stall
2. try to get your DRs wet - if they are cold you should not have a problem
3. Rev engine to about 3-4K
4. drop clutch (do not and I repeat - do not ride the clutch - let it out all the way - right away)
5. move your clutch foot over to the brake and lightly push the brake down to lock the front tires
6. watch your RPMs to make sure that you stay in the 5K+ range without hitting the rev limiter.
7. when done slowly take your foot off the brake and then the gas to allow the car to roll out. When you slow down push the clutch back in.
As a reminder at the end of the burnout with everything still spinning really really fast you do not want to push that clutch in. Things will break.
FYI - if you car does not have the DTE brace or the hardened output shaft I do not recommend doing burnouts with DRs especially DRs that are dry or somewhat heated.
That being said light them up

The belts had broken in the sumitomo crap tires that I had on there and it was time for new ones, but these still had over 1/2 tread left!

When I move my foot over fromthe clutch to the brake.....i have to push the brake softly right? If i just hit the brakes really hard the car will stall wont it?

The rear is not designed for abuse in that direction (as much) so it is easy to couse problems that way.
At $1300 for a good set of tires you apparently have more money to burn than tires

BTW - $1300 is for 4 tires not just the 2 rear ones. If you are spending $1300 for 2 tires then who is wasting money?
A set of rear BFG DRs that were made for the 1/4 mile and for burning out cost $300.00 so he can do this 4 times for what you spend on tires and still have $100 left for gas.
