[Z06] im out

On the other hand, my Dad trained to "noticed" ricers too.
The Mitsubshi A6M5 Zero variety. Often called Zekes at the time.
His ride was the Republic P-47D Thunderbolt. Often called the Jug, as in a big f_cking glass milk bottle.
You might consider this a 3-D road race in the sky, with the "lower powered but much better handling ricer" against
the American "no replacement for cubic inches big iron".
With "One Pratt & Whitney R-2800-59 of 2,430 hp".
Plus, a little bit of alcohol/water injection & more boost into the turbo "if needed".
That was called WEP (Wartime Emergency Power) in the manual.
Or, "maybe", SMA (Save My ***) by "the operators".
There was quite a bit more than just "the pinks" at stake.
Luckily for me and my brothers, he was around to produce them,
and raise us because good ole Harry had the guts to drop the
bomb(s) and end the war.
And, the above scenerio tells you that working for GM is not the MAIN reason I always buy American.
But, I have no problem with people buying what they think is the best.
Just as long as it really is "the best", and not ad or neighbor bs.
So, there you go Folks, DT has me NAILED.
Howdy Folks!
You know, I've always said there's more to just the objective nature of the car for enthusiasts.
Sometimes there's a historical significance as it relates to racing, or your family's ownership history.
(I love all the races X car has won, or my family has always driven Y) . . .
The ride on the Z06 is quite a bit softer than both the STi and the EVO. The EVO, in particular, has a much more twitchy steering feel to it. Aside from noise and cabin space, the Vette is the most comfortable ride as a daily driver of the 3 cars (IMO). I'd agree that in stock form, on the street, the vette is MUCH faster.
Good luck with your EVO.
the evo is a great choice
thanks!! i felt like i was being crucified too-geez!!!--im in tampa -are you in fl?- ill definitly be doin some mods... anyway to the guy talkin about ww2- get over it pal the war has been over for quite a long time-

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

first off .just to let you all know i am and have been a vette enthusiast and an all around car freak, old and new, foriegn and domestic,my whole life, and have gained a ton of knowledge being here and driving the z06.its made me aware of alot of things.
ive wanted a vette since forever, and i do like the z06 alot.
but its just too much of a boat for driving around town,to me anyway.love it on long drives.and the great attention it gets.but for me having driven the z for a while now,im just not feelin it- and i just like the way the foriegn sports cars drive and react.had a good run in the z-on to the evo- take care folks.

. I don't know if you guys saw the Top Gear show where the Evo hung with the Lamborghini Murcielago around the track. My buddy has an Evo and I love driving it. It is like driving a Go-cart, point and shoot, you don't have to be carefull. I just don't like the boy racer look. It was between a '06 Evo MR and a C5 Z06............I am going with the vette
..........but never under estimate the Evo..........especially if it is black with an AMS sticker on it (900+whp AWD

saying that you are lovin' rice on a Corvette forum, Maybe you should just go away and enjoy your new little car
& STFUN
EVO's are impressive in the right hands...I was in the mtns with my friend in his Evo and I was like...Holy ****..he didn't brake in that turn. Powering out of the turns and straights like a mad man to keep up with him.

i like rice.
take care yall cya on the strip!

Some people just don't have any taste...but I am also wondering if he ever owned a Z in the first place. I mean he did give it a whole two months on the forum, right!
Call me skeptical!

I'm not trying to be a smart***, but did you ever really put the Z through it's paces? When the Evo can put down lateral acceleration and other handling numbers anywhere near the Z then you might have something to say, but I'm not gonna hold my breath!

and probably a lot of other people who live in the United States.
I totally apologize for putting an inappropriate and off-topic post in this thread.
I would delete it, but others have already copied it.
Last night I was using the Forum to engage my mind, as I was mentally rather out of sorts.
Because I was waiting for my father to die last night.
He did.
However, I am still going to allow full military honors at his funeral,
in spite of the fact many do not see this as an honor.
Again, I am sorry to be such an anachronism in this day and age,
and bring dishonor to certain members of the Corvette community.
However, I do not plan to "get over it".
It is who I am.

I join you in honoring your father, without whose sacrifice, we might all be driving Japanese cars.
