I wouldn't spend that much money on a Corvette just to look at it! If that was the case I would save my money and just Stare at someone elses

Shoot, you'll probably get a few offers to have someone come over to help!!

Welcome to the Forum!! from Nebraska!!

Oh yeah, garage queen here... bad winters and too many miles during the week!!
While I appreciate the warning and will watch what I 'say', I have to admit that I did join the forum to talk CARS - as a new vette owner I am anxious to learn about my car, it's history, great mods, etc. When I was lurking I thought the more "off-color" type comments were in a different thread....

I will watch what I say to avoid comments I am NOT looking for. I know that other women subscribe to this forum and I think they are here for the reason I am ... to talk about their CAR. Nothing else.

With that said, I have appreciated the information on this forum.

If you don't mind, what year do you have? What happened? Flat tires? ?????

You pay good money for these C5's so why not drive it and enjoy it. I drive it every chance I get and I don't care how many miles I rack up. We have these touch and go winters here on the east coast, but I get a lot of opportunities, and I take advantage of it.

Hi Robin

Nice to meet another girl that enjoys cars!

Mine is not a DD, but I've somehow managed to put 15k miles on it in 19 months.

I'm thinking you're a ricer who's never even ridden in a Vette
If you are a Vette owner, how about doing us a favor and sell it? You are wasting your time here

I previously owned an '84 Corvette. I sold it in '05 with 40K original miles. I now drive a '98 vert every day. 80 mile round trip to work. the garage queen was pretty but the vert is pretty AND fun. DDs from here on out.

How many of you drive the vette everyday- as a daily driver?

just curious......
If God had meant for C5's to be trailer/garage queens, he would have issued a trailer and cover with each one.

Pushing 120K on mine.

Started out when i bought my vert i was going to only drive it on my days off. That didn't last a day Now almost two years and 28,000 miles i am trying to limit myself to a few days a week. Only because of the miles i have put on it. To work and back i average around forty miles a day. So will force myself to take the truck Going on vacation in a few weeks and i am trying so hard to leave it home. It's tough i just got it back from it being under the knife from Extreme Motorsports. It was there for a month. Talk about being depressed

I have to agree Although my car is not driven daily - it is one of the most trouble free cars I've ever owned. I've spent a fair amount of money on it - but all of those $$$ have been discretionary. I would drive mine every single day, but parking is a problem. I have another vehicle to drive, so there is no need for me to drive it that way. I'm much happier driving it on weekends and in the evenings on pleasure drives than I would be driving it 4 miles to work everyday.

I hope you really enjoy your car Robin. And although we've welcomed you before, I want to welcome you again. I love having women Corvette owners around. I have two or three close friends that are female owners - and I enjoy their enthusiasm and their perspectives!

It's my DD, rain or shine. But I much prefer shine. 125k miles on my 98 and still going great. Just got done with bilstein shocks, z06 sways and getting ready to do a H/C. Still going to drive it every day.
