I bought the car to drive it, not to show it. So unless the weather is really crappy or the parking place is questionable or we're going camping, we take the Vette.
Daily driver here except when the Pennsylvania winter prevents it. She'll be two years old on April 20th and has 68,000 miles on her. The daily commute to NJ is 64 miles each way and I love every bit of it.
I still can't figure out how anyone can buy one of these cars and not want to drive it all the time. It's all I've wanted to drive since I got it
However this is NJ and my C5 doesn't do well in snow and ice. In addition, our whacko drivers become worse when the weather gets bad, and I don't like the thought of people sliding into me. If the roads are clear, it goes out every day. However I still need another car to lug around my camera gear for photo shoots and stuff from Home Depot.
Mine is a 'recreational driver' only! My DD is the GMC Suburban. The 04 vert is pretty impracticle for much of anything but touring. It doesn't hold much cargo and can only sit 2 people so it doesn't do the family much good. I put some mods on it and drive it for the thrill of it! Then I park it in it's designated spot in the garage and there she sits,,,,til the next ride!
Driving every day somehow diminishes the thrill that you wait for at the end of the work week.
Mine's not a daily driver, but only because I'm retired and have no place to go
Most important thing is for you to own your possessions, do not allow them to own you. For myself, I wouldn't own a garage queen don't see the sense in it?
