C5 Daily driver?
Heck I even do runs to the market for the wife, etc. Every chance I get I drive this beauty. It even gets better gas mileage than my wife’s Acura TL So far the only problems I've encountered (knock on wood): A flat tire after picking up 2 nails while driving through a construction area (non run-flats with a slow leak), and a busted head-light motor caused by yours truly (aka. the idiot) but thankfully covered by a local GM service center.
IMHO the more you use, operate, or drive a piece of equipment the better it performs. Let it sit static for a while... Something’s bound to go wrong. This has held true for all the standard/armored vehicles (ie. tanks) & aircraft I've maintained or crewed... I'm betting the Corvette isn't that far removed from this theory as well
In fact I have a friend with a brand new, rarely driven 300C Hemi SRT8. It’s only 5 months old & been in the shop twice already… Go figure. If you can afford to keep the Corvette as a weekend & good weather car awesome, go for it, there’s nothing wrong with that. But don’t be afraid to drive it either, get out there and enjoy as much as you can.
