Default C5 Daily driver?

I bought my C5 to be used as a daily driver -- reading through the forum it seems like lots of you just use yours on nice days/weekends.

How many of you drive the vette everyday- as a daily driver?

just curious......

I've owned several Corvettes in the last 30 years. I've always said that if I ever had to drive one on a daily basis, I'd sell it and get something more practical.

Robin, since you're new, I'll try not to scare you off and help you out a bit... We are a bunch of teasers, story-tellers, whatever... We have a tendency to get a little silly at times... especially in the company of a lady...

That said, expect at least 4 or 5 posts asking you for pics of you taking your top off. Maybe only a few stating: "This thread is useless without pics!!" Or... "We don't mind if you do it while it's snowing..." Silly stuff like that...

Shoot, you'll probably get a few offers to have someone come over to help!!

Ok, seriously now... My post is meant to be in good fun, no disrespect whatsoever, ok!! I just wanted you to be prepared... We do like to have fun.. I was surprised no one had asked you about taking off your top... It helps to have a fun sense of humor on here... Just be prepared...

Welcome to the Forum!! from Nebraska!!

Oh yeah, garage queen here... bad winters and too many miles during the week!!

Mine is not a daily driver - for a couple of reasons. Nothing wrong with it though!

I drive mine almost every day, except for the really crappy weather days and when I feel it's more appropiate to show up in something more modest (like if I'm meeting with new clients or something).

Oh, and if the parking situation at the destination really scares me...

Otherwise, I take the Corvette pretty much every time I can.

Daily driver here.

I drive it EVERY day except when there is snow forecasted or significant snow or slush on the roads. Bought the car in dec and already put 3,000 miles on it between trips and commuting here in New England. Fortunately we've had a warm winter which helped a lot. I bought the car with 100k+ miles so I definitely drive it more than I would if it had 5,000mi on it and no road rash. It's such a blast to drive that I would seriously consider having two, one for daily driving and one for show.

I drive mine every day to work (52 miles each way) and I am extremely disappointed with the quality and dependability of the car. If I knew this before I purchased it, I would never had purchased one.
