Guys, I have spoken to a few other SSR GT3 owners, and they all have rims with lips that are OK, so maybe this was a leftover set from the original stock at the bottom of the barrell, where they buried it, or it got pushed thru to clearcoat without final polish..

Those scratches, swirls, & tooling lines should definitely NOT be in there.

I don't know, but if I can't get a set with clean, clear lips, I'll move on to something else..

Hopefully, its just a single case, and of course lands in my lap.
Will report if another set is sent..

I'd send them back now! That finish could cost you on the resale next year.

My SSR GT3s look just like that . I put them on the car and love them .
I did not think the finish was as good as it should be , but , I could not afford HRE wheels.

On the car they do look great , and I love them.

Then you should be asking for an exchange as well..
These are billed as polished lips, not scratched lips, or brushed finished lips.

The tooling lines & swirls should not be there..

Give us some feed-back on how they took care of you, this will help with someone making a purchase down the road, and lets see their customer service.

In my opinion that finish is not acceptable and will be covered under warranty. I also know that my customer service department is handling this as I type

Not for me, Ellis. Cheap wheels are made like that. But with your track record, I'm going to assume these aren't cheap wheels.

To me, this is not acceptable.
I'd like your thoughts on these pics.
Thanks..

That is definately NOT acceptable.

UPDATE

I was just called & told that ALL the sets have this!
Apparently this is how the lips come.
Its not bad 2-3 feet away from the car, but when you're wiping them down & right on top of them, you see the flawed finish.

Also note, they told me that the stainless steel lip is NOT clear coated...

I'm not going to break them down & get the stainless lips re-polished, but I have a decision to make weather to keep them or return them.

If ANY other SSR GT3 owners are out there, I really need to hear from you how your rim lips look..

Even Luke at Tire rack said they were unacceptable....
Ellis I know you, and we both know what quality polished rims look like..
unfortunately these are not quality wheels.. there are other issues with these that I wont even talk about...
I suspect you will return them.
you posted pictures of what quality wheels should look like... and I agree. I hope you do not suck up this as "The Best they have to offer"...
the wheels look nice from a distance but is that what you want?

Yea....

I know I'll get a credit posted if I return them..
Hopefully Luke will be able to secure a cleaner set one way or another.

I would have to say they need to go back. For that kind of $$$ they should have a better finish on the lips. I'd also have to agree with everyone else that has said if it bugs you now it's going to get worse once you have them on the car.
