Sorry to hear than my friend, the idiot should be hanged, so give it to his insurance company big time, take it to the best place you can find, then tell your company everything you want done, and I mean everything, every ding etc, they will make you happy then bill his and they can't do anything but pay and pay. If there is a rattle inside, make em fix it, etc. The good news is vettes are pretty strong in the frame area, and the body panels are easy to replace. I just hate idoits like that, should take his licence.

I am really sorry to hear about this. Every Vette owners nightmare! I wish I could take away your pain. No words any of us say can help you either. But, it's life. You have no options other than getting it fixed. Get back in the saddle and ride my friend. Dan

Oh man, that sucks! My sincere sympathies!

I can relate because something similar hapopened to me in the first new car I ever bought, a '79 WS6 Trans Am SE 4-speed. I'd had it about a week and I was driving home late at night. There was *one* car on a divided highway but she decided to wait until I was almost next to her to do a turn into a gas station from the center lane. I had enough time to twitch and avoid hitting the passenger door dead center but that was it. I was mad enough to spit rivits, and after that I was heartbroken.

But you know what? They fixed it good as new and I drove that car for another 40k miles without any problems. So hang in there, friend.

Sorry to hear that -- I totally understand the anger and frustration. But just get it to a good shop, keep on them with the details, and she'll be as good as new.

Don't spare the insurance any cost in getting this car back right .
remember they don't tell you where to fix it , you pick the shop
I would find the best , most expensive , and most meticulous shop in town . it's a Vette ! It needs put back together right

I agree. Find the best shop you can and tell them to make it new again. Then stick it to the insurance company.

Sorry for you. People just aren't careful. I would've been angry too. I know how you feel . . . . 4 days after getting my pewter vette, I was rear ended at a stop light! Make sure the insurance company gives you what your estimate says. They seem to always want to give you less. It was that way in my case! Glad you were'nt hurt and smashed up too.
