The HUD is a cool gadget. Especially at night. I have never been a fan of Digital Gauges. It does not make a difference to me to look down at the analog gauges anyway.. I could take it or leave it. It was there when I bought the car. It does inpress people who have never seen a Heads Up Display before..
Patrick, I use mine with tach and MPH only most of the time. Im surprised you said yours doesnt adjust enough for you. I am 6ft tall and I have plenty of adjustability up and down.
HUD is just another cool little feature the vette comes with. I think its cool.
Guys, when you get older and the dash starts to look fuzzy the HUD is sharp as can be. I never look at the gauges. I use Speed, RPM and Gas. It also lets me know when 5750rpm comes up (SHIFT)!!! I love seeing triple figures.
59 years old and lovin my 2003 Anniversary Coupe 6 speed..
I have the speed, tach, and fuel displayed and I keep it just above the hood in my field of vision. You don't want it high on the windshield. It's probably not necessary, but whenever I turn it off, I always turn it back on within 5 minutes. It just keeps me more aware of my speed. No tix in 20k miles.
Use the HUD all the time. Have RPM, MPH and oil pressure showing. Didn't think I would like it, but now I wish I had purchased this option on the Bonneville.
