Cheap, $880 the last set I bought, grip well. I got three very good track weekends out of mine before they got hard. I still use them for the street after that because they have plenty of tread, just a bit hard after 24 heat cycles.
For the price I think they are an awesome tire. Multiple instructors have questioned what tires I was running on the track and were surprised when I told them.
I'm switching to track only tires and the MXs for street, but if I were to run a single set for both it would be MXs hands down.
Kumho's aren't bad. I tore through a set of those pretty quickly. It probbaly has more to do with the fact that I knew they werent too expensive so I probably drove harder on them. I find when I spend more $$ on tires I drive less agressively.
You might want to consider going with the best - Goodyear GSD3s. They recently beat 10 other tires (Kumhos came in dead last) to win Car & Driver's best super-performance tire comparo. Yes, they cost more than Kumhos, but according to the Tire Rack folks, they are "a superior tire in every way".
Just got rid of the run flats and went with the Toyo non run flat.
What a difference, smoother, quieter and much more grip.
Can't say anything about wear yet, but I love them.
