Got one for my coupe after reading about them for a few years. Boy, I should have got this a long time ago. Its nice to have the windows go down when its 90+ degrees before you get in. Other options are also a plus. This is a must have for the $.
jim.
i just got my window valet today. plugged it in and it works like a charm. my only question is that it seems a little loose in the socket. is this normal or am i not pushing it in hard enough?
also got my mats and my rear compartment tray. they look great!!!

You are OK. No need to push it in any harder. It won't fall out.
I ordered the window valet, the partition, the rear light seals and the CAGS bypass. The partition works and looks super-no more items sliding around, and it really enhances the stock stereo sound. I think the price for the window valet is steep, but I agree the features are a great addition, especially since you don't have to re-enter the car to put the windows back up after putting the top up in the convertible. Still have to put the seals on. And for the CAGS bypass, is it possible to lift the car from the side and raise it far enough to install, or is my best bet getting it up on a lift? Thanks again. Shipping was really fast!

If you have ramps you can back it up on the ramps for easy access. You can jack it also and should be able to get to it.
Will this roll the windows up or down with the remote? Also are the instructions in electronic format where I can get a copy to read prior to purchasing?

Had my WV for years. Recently started having trouble getting the windows to stay up. They get within a 1/2" of gasket and go back down. Takes two or three tries to get it right and then sometimes it works the first try.
Any thoughts as to the cause, WV or other cause of the problem.

Hmmmm...I cannot think of anything with the C5 that would cause this problem. Let me see what I can find out for you but I do not think there is anything that the WV could be causing. Pop the WV out and see if the problem persists.
Wink, I've lost my instructions, but there is a way to recalibrate the window valet to ensure the travel is correct for opening and closing the windows if I remember correctly. I suspect that will take care of the issue.

I posted the user manual on our site in the Window Valet section. It explains re-calibrating the windows. Very simple, basically you need to run throught the window valet install again (5mins). What is happening is that the window valet thinks the window has run the full course but it has not. Re-Calibrate and everything will work fine.
If you haven't picked one up for your C5 yet, check us out at www.southerncarparts.com and take advantage of the Free Shipping through the remainder of the month!!!
