I have a window valet but have misplaced the instructions for it. Could someone PM, email, fax or regular mail them. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Allen

Jim,

Thanks for the response, but I must be blind. I have looked at the referenced web page and don't see the instructions. Can you point my blind eye to them?

Thanks,
Allen

Hi Jim,

I'm the guy that stopped by to buy the window valet and tail lite seals.

I love both of those products. I had my car at a car show last Saturday and won a first place trophy. Of course I think most everyone got some kind of trophy. I showed both products to many of my Vette club friends and everyone liked them. I gave your number to several who said they would order from you.

Our advertising budget is pretty low....the way we look at it is word of mouth is the easiest way to advertise and customer service is the key. Thanks for spreading the word . We owe you!!!

Does a partition work in a vert? I'm thinking if it does, it must go to the REAR of the folded down top?

Received mine last night, installed this morning. If you are waiting to install it, because you need time, stop waiting, intall and program takes 2 minutes, Done. This is a great product, I, bought it primarily for the window option, the others are just gravy, makes getting in the car in the garage so much easier.

Having trouble with my window valet. I purchased in October and it worked fine until the temperatures dropped. The DIC posted every type of error message it can and the car would not start. It would crank, fire and die. Removing the unit cleared the problem. Is this a bad eprom, connection or will you send me a replacement unit?

Never heard of this happening....I am checking with the manufacturer to see what they think and will have an answer for you today. Worse case scenario is that I will send you a replacement. Sounds like something definately malfunctioned (cold weather would not make a difference though, think that is just a coincendence).

Send me an email with your name please.....

southerncarparts@bellsouth.net

I will let you know something shortly....

Thanks,

Jim

Anytime!

Glad we can help

We are in stock and ready to ship...

Southern Car Parts is now offering the C5 and C6 Window Valet from Top Down Technologies.

Takes minutes to install, plugs into the OBD port under the steering wheel. No tools required.

$149.99 with free shipping in the US.

Features include.....

1) Remote Control Power Windows Let the windows down as you approach the car. The heat escapes before you get in.No need to get back into the car to let the windows up. Put the top up and walk away. Convertible owners know all too well what this means.Don't leave the windows down just because the car is on a racing trailer. Climb out, raise the windows, secure the car. Tight garages are no longer a problem. It's much easier to get into the car after lowering the windows.

2) Enhanced Accessory Power Modes Have the stock radio power-up when you approach the car. Listen to music as you take the top out, access the trunk, or let the heat escape. You pull the ignition key and open the door. There's no need for the radio to stop; you're still in the car. The music resumes and stays on until you lock or unlock the doors with the remote. If you forget, the Window Valet will shutdown the power for you.The passenger is waiting in the car, but you need the keys to get into the house. No problem. The passenger presses a few keys on the D.I.C. and viola! accessory is now available for the radio and windows.

3) Passenger Door Lock Assist Eliminate passenger frustration when dropping someone off. Have the doors unlock before they pull the handle. Set the hand brake or put the transmission in park and the doors unlock. You pick the configuration or not at all.

4) High Speed Report Record the vehicle high speed as you drive. Display it on the speedometer later with a few button presses on the D.I.C.You can finally find out how fast the Valet Guy drove your car; just be sure to clear the old high speed before handing him the keys.

Ready for immediate shipment at www.southerncarparts.com

Recieved your window valet and tail light seals in yesterday (thanks for the fast response!) and decided to install the valet first, as I'm awaiting new tail lights too. Well the install went easy, better than I expected, actually read the instructions first! started to program the window up/down feature and only the passenger window goes up and down. Try the drivers side, and it won't move, either using the valet or the door control. Tried reseting the valet, and reprograming, same thing. Even pulled the valet out and same same, looks like (got my fingers crossed) that it's only a blown fuse. DIC for the right door module checks good.

Could the valet have caused the drivers window to malfunction?

I will check with the manufacturer, I guess anything is possible but I do not know how that could happen. Let me know what happens after you change the fuse.
