BTW, I don't make these. I just know a guy, who knows the guy that does make them.

and the quality is rediculous. The thing is super heavy, and the pics don't do the finish any justice at all (nickel plated brushed aluminum).

Everytime I get in the car, I'm like this...

Looks great! is that the standard rubber around the shifter? Or is there some protection from stuff falling down there? Or do you have plans for some form of boot?

That's just the standard rubber boot. I hadn't even considered covering it with anything, so I'll probably wind up fishing change out of there in a month.

I like it, but it looks slightly unfinished. Maybe dress it up just a little more with maybe a bezel or something. It would be a knockout at that point. All in all though, that looks like a great mod, just thought I would throw out a suggestion.

it does look cool. the only suggestion i have is to change out the phillips head screws with allen heads.

i think it would look more finished that way.

you get alot of heat coming through the opening? i thought of doing something similar but making it(never knew a place already did) but got tired of the heat coming through the opening. the shiftboot blocks out the heat and some of the tranny noise thats carried through to the shifter.

Actually, I haven't noticed any extra heat (of course, I have the AC on most of the time), or noise coming from the shifter. I definitely expected it to be louder but to my surprize, it sounds exactly the same as it did with the boot.
