or sell the vette and buy a vw beetle, you can collect your tears in the flower vase to water your flower

The Vette is made to be driven, with the keep up costs of a camaro I dont think GM intended them to sit in garages, especially now that 97-99s have the same value as a middleground new Honda Accord.

Man, driving in the rain is half the fun of owning a Vette. You need to experience it! Ice and snow, that's another story! Zuti

It's OK. They clean up well. They were made to be driven.

Sorry, I plan on keeping it until the day I die. I've got way too much money invested in mods to even begin to think about selling it. I don't know why people get offended by those of us who choose not to drive our Vettes in inclement weather. If you had made my car payments for 5 years, then perhaps I might consider letting you drive it in the rain. Yes, it's a garage queen, but that's how I enjoy the heck out of my car. If you enjoy driving yours in the rain, that's great. As I said before . . . Different strokes for different folks.

I picked my Z06 up last month in Pensacola..I had heard Vettes melt in rain and so once on I 10 I got into a couple of downpours...thankfully the car did not melt! On I 95 in Georiga I hit a hail storm...Vette held up well in the hail..nothing broken....and last week survived a drive to work in the middle of a 10" rain tropical storm...so far so good. As for a garage...well my 69 Dodge Superbee gets that honor...the Vette is an outside car for me.

I have already put 2.5k miles on her in a month...life is good. Oh and mud under the car cleans up pretty good too!
