With the way some members treat thier car, like its ruined once wet, that shot will send them into cardiac arrest.. Ill be driving mine from CA to CO in a couple weeks, sure ill bee seeing some of that on the Utah passes.

Mine has never been driven in the rain, but I'm sure it was in the rain while being transported or at the dealership. I know my car won't melt if it gets wet, I've just chosen not to drive it in the rain.

I avoid driving mine if I know it will rain but I don't worry about it. Since it rarely gets wet I do make sure to clean the windshield wipers every time I wash the car or clean the windows so they won't drag a bunch of grime across the windshield when they do get turned on.

vetts are sweet. but they are not made of sugar. contrary to popular belief they do not melt in the rain. there isnt anybody that can honestly say their car has never been in the rain. you should see how they arrive at the dealerships from being shipped from the factory. there is so much road grime and red rock dust on them from going over the passes you really cant tell the true color untill they are cleaned. most of them appear greyish red. even the museum deliveries are kept outside untill their owners can make it to the delivery process.
plus.... they are incredibly fun in the rain when no other cars are around

My Z is sitting in the rain right now. I just drove it around all night... in the rain! Oh my! I drive it through Ohio and Indiana winters and Virginia rain filled springs. It's still doing just fine. It's a car. DRIVE IT!

So doe's this mean I won't be able to sell it later on down the road?? I won't be able to state "never driven in the rain".

OMG ...Are you serious,, sorry but what a lame question,, what to do because the car got wet, what will you say when you run out of gas ?? just because it never gets driven in the rain it does not mean that the car is well maintained.. sorry 'bout the grilling !! but I just had to bite !

Not really.........

This was the first "road trip" we got to make with our "new" C5. We bought it just one month before this trip and I thought we could wait until spring to replace the worn tires. Wrong! We had absolutely zero traction. We had all stopped while the lead cars turned around, when I tried to get going again (uphill) going sideways was the result. All 25 Corvettes managed to turn around safely and we cautiously made our way off Mt. Hood. That was a scary 5 miles!

I think it's about 50/50 for how many people are taking this guy's question seriously. It was obviously a jab at Vette owners who don't like getting their cars wet or dirty. I drive my 4x4 truck or my company car when it's raining or snowing because I choose to. Then the Vette is still clean for the sunny days. Look at some of his other posts, he's not a serious C5 guy yet, but he will be one day.
