It's not at all about the money, I just don't like the car and think it's ugly. I kinda like the Z06 with the fenders but not enough to dump my C5 and run head long into a really over priced car for the sake of a new car.

I love my C5 but I will definitely own a C6 Z06 in the future. I've only had my C5 for about 2 years now. Still enjoying it, but looking forward to the next gen. If I'm fortunate enough, I will be able to keep both.

1. C6 is not a turn on.
2. Retired and on a fixed income
3. My MODs give more HP than a stock C6 (will be approaching C6/ZO6 HP).
4. Installed a indash Nav and DVD player. (next adding a amp)
5. My $$ goes into MODS. (check my sig)
6. C5 is long paid for
Need I say more????

I graduated and got my first real job (3/04) and thought I would get a new C6. After looking into it, I realized it would be atleast 15k more than an '04. I love my Mag Red Coupe. Well, I drove a C6 recently, and didn't think it was worth 20k+ (now) to upgrade. Nice car though. My plan is to keep the C5 forever and always have a new model Corvette. I hope to start that in the '08 or '09 model year.

#1 - I prefer to keep my 2003 50th AE Vert and wait for the C6 instead of the C5 1/2 that is for sale at the present time.
#2 - I will NEVER get rid of my 2003 50th AE Vert. I'll sell my wife and kids first!

So why haven't you made the move??

I LOVE MY 98 C-5 COUPE !! In the next 5 years I MIGHTconsider buying one but I just moved up in June from a C-4 and me and my wife really LOVE this one. I'm not thrilled with the Lemans headlights or the AZZZ end of the C-6 or the paddle shift. I LOVE my BABY'S BIG BUTT !!!!, The smooth ride and leg room are a big emprovement over my 91 C-4 and the extra Horsepower of the C-6 could be matched or surpassed with mods ,I would like to see THE GENERAL do a better job with the padding and choice of leather in the seats though !!!

2023 C5 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Never expected to own a Vette. My unexpected assignment in Vegas gave me that chance.
Once I'd got the Vert I hatched a plan to bring it back to England. It's a serious investment for the modifications, not least it means some cutting of metal (SMC). Once I started it was always going to be a keeper.
Would I rule out a C6 in the future? The looks are growing on me and its undoubtedly a fine piece of engineering. But we're back to affordability.
