Did a couple small things, im still waiting for my driveshaft from ECS so I can get my driveline back together

Cartek Line Lock

Im going to wait to wire it until I actually have an interior to mount the switch in.

I decided to rip the rest of my interior out since my mini tub will be here soon

Put the wheels back on so the car is mobile

Back on the ground for the first time in 2 months

Hey ZeeOhhSixx,

How was the Cartek Line lok install? For a guy like you, it was probably NOTHING! But in terms of the effort for your average DIY'er, any thoughts? Was it worth buying the kit from Cartek, was it complete?

Keep up the great posts! This is going to be one sick Vette, though I think your license plate is a tad conservative!!!!!

01dream , the kit was cake to install any DIY'er can pull it off no problem. I bought kit off a member on here but it was new and it comes with everything you need to set it up.

Thanks for the tip!! Actually, I noticed you snatched up that kit here on the Forum..... GOOD CATCH!

I commend you for tackling this project all yourself, what are you going to do about tuning this beast once everything is back together? Speaking of which, when do you plan on completing everything? Just curious.

The car will be tuned by Mike from Rapid Motorsports, he is also the one building the motor, everything else with the car I will tackle myself but im leaving the motor build up to him Mike is the man.

I have gotten everything needed to put the car back together all im waiting on is my block to finished and the motor to be assembled so I can put everything on. It will be done in the next couple weeks and hopefully I can get some serious power out of it. Im a firm believer in doing it right the first time so I researched what I wanted and got it all in one fell swoop. I talked to Mike about the motor build and I knew I wanted to do an LS7 but I wanted it to be an ungodly powerful street motor. My car is not a dyno-trailer-show queen I drive my cars all the time, pretty much everyday actually so its going to run on pump gas and still have AC plus all the other aspects of a stock car. If you see my car on a trailer its either because I broke it or someone stole it.

I actually got word from Doug at ECS today that my driveshaft will be here tommorrow so I can get the driveline back in one piece for reinstall.

Niiiiiiiiiiiiice!! Your goal for "un-godly" power will be a no brainer with this setup. Are you running an ECS fuel system? If not, how are you planning to feed this thing?

Forgive me... but how is Mike getting more cubes out of the LS-7 block? The bores are darn close allready... what's being done?

Looks good and thanks for the pictures.

I did a lot of the stuff that you did VBP Bushings, Wilwood Brake kit, Pfadt Coils, etc but did not take any pictures.

The bushings are really time consuming and at the same time I replaced the lower ball joints with Moog's and put on VBP heavy duty tie rods on the rear and a Baer bump steer kit on the front.

Hopefully my vette will get out of the body shop next week (ACP Z11) body kit with some custom touches.

The block has been resleeved and we are going to do a 4.125 stroke. The rotating assembly is a Lunati crank with Compstar rods and Diamond pistons.

The fuel system will worked out soon enough that one last piece to the puzzle. I am also talking to ARE about doing a dry sump system in the car but well see how that goes.

Got this today as well, ill put it all together tommorrow.

I was on the phone with driveshaft shop and they say they have never heard of corvette CV joints failing and no one I have talked to on here can give me an example of it either so im going to hope they can take it.

Things left to do before motor goes in, which ill do in the next week or two

LPE Mini tub
Pfadt chassis bar

Should be fun

^ Eh... I don't think you want solid couplers at both ends... nothign to absorb any vibration... LG normally recommends one solid and one OEM coupler for some vibration compliance.

Thats what I have seen but im more concerned about long term strength and if I got my stock ones to crack in only 6000 miles with stock power then I dont think they would fair to well in the new setup.
