Yea I would love to do the math and figure out piston velocity. The car made and insane power curve straight to redline if he he bumps up the redline the power is gonna keep on going.
Ohhhhh, you gonna get in soooo much trouble with that thing down in Ga.!!! AWESOME. Looks like it was set a bit rich on the a/f ratio? Will you guys be doing any street tuning to compliment the dyno tune?
BTW... Who is "Mike"? You've mentioned him a couple of times, did he build the motor? Is he a supporting vendor here? Just curious.
Congrats on a terrific n/a combination! Have fun this weekend, I'm sure we're ALL expecting to see some tire shredding footage from ya real soon.
That was the first pull we made to 7K, I had to leave and head back to work before I could see the end result. Im hoping its around 620.
Mike would be Mr. Mike Kleman owner/builder/installer/fabricator/tuner of Rapid Motorsports. I dont believe hes an SV on here but he is over on ls1tech check out his website
Ill have some cruise footage tommorrow for you guys
Beat Deal!! The one item on your car you DIDN'T swap out. I saw a post from RPM Transmission about a 3.42 "built" rear diff that you may be interested in, I think it was ~$3,000 to build and they're asking $2,500.00
Just a thought for ya. Any video coverage of today's gas consumption? I have ready. hahahaa
Didnt get any footage of today due to freshness of everything and the differential problem that developed. I contacted DTE and im going to pull the diff out this week and send it back for a rebuild.
But the car feels NASTY fast, its going to be an animal when everything is done and ready to rock and roll.
I have every intention of being up at Carlisle this year.
Since that differential only had approx. 60 miles on it (as stated by your email to us) when it was spun up on the dyno like that full throttle behind that kind of power, that explains why the gear set is whining so badly. Our differentials require at LEAST 350 miles of break-in before any sort of full throttle application of any sort. Our installation instruction explain this quite clearly big, bold text.
If we were in your shoes, we would be a little displeased with your installer for damaging your differential like that, when they know what the proper break-in procedures are....
BTW- We got your email and congrat's on your powertrain combination.
