IMO, I would stay away from fuel rail covers with your setup. Maybe relocate the coils with some purdy valve covers.

Definately relocate the coil packs like Phil97svt does and get nice pretty valve covers to compliment that killer manifold.

BTW where does the vaccum pump pull pressure from and where does it pump it to?

Yes but where exactly does it plumb into the crankcase? The stock valley cover like the stock PCV system?

Do you hae to emply the canister of vapors? Is it like a charcoal cannister on older carb'd vehicles?

It connects to the blue fitting in the valley, the breather bleeder screw is left open to let out any vapors or condensation

WOW. I think you need to have a christening party for us eastern PA boys for this thing when it's "done." LOL Where in W. Chester are you? I'm right in Lansdowne. I know exactly where your Porsche dealship is. I'd love to check this beast out some time (and get some more local tuner info from you).

Just awesome.

This has to be one of the best threads ever

I am really impressed with your overall plan and execution of that plan. You really picked some great parts. I am very interested in seeing the dyno results, as well as your driving impressions.

Hope you get a chance to road race it this spring so you can let us know how your car handles.

How did you learn to do all this? Are you an auto tech? Have you been doing this for a lot of years?

Thanks, and keep those posts coming!

Im only 21 so saying ive been doing it for a while will sound strange but ill say ive been doing it as long as I have been able too. I always played with stuff when I was younger and would mess around with the lawnmowers or change my dads oil and so on. I started out with Hondas and that where I learned all the basics I guess you could say. I just went from there I got more tools and took on bigger jobs to where I was doing motor swaps, clutches ect ect and it just carried over to all the cars and trucks I have owned since. All the physical hands on stuff I can figure out on my own its actually really easy if you have the right tools but some more complicated stuff I have knowledgeable people I can ask if I need a hint or advice on a part of something. I graduated from U.T.I in Nov. which is a techincal school but in retrospect it wasnt much use and didnt teach me to much more than I knew to be perfectly honest. With the Corvette build like I said if there was an issue with something I could always give Mike at Rapid a call and he would help me out as well as answering my questions when I went up there on something he was doing. I currently work at a Porsche dealership and I am going to Atlanta in Feb, for Porsche factory training. Wow that turned out a lot longer than I thought haha, but yea thats the long and the short of my learnings of my techincal abilitys.

You may now continue with your regularly scheduled program

Sweet... are you doing a min-tub or are you going to let them stick out a little?

Will you need to sand the inner part of the tire at all to prevent it from spinning on the wheel at all?
