Pinks
The cost to race was about 20 bucks and there were quite a few cars there. You were racing for the possibilty of winning a grand prize of 10,000. If you lost, the most they are gonna get is your pride and the $20 you spent to enter. Each of the racers making it "on the show" could bet the prize money that they won in early races. Anyway I thought it was a good format and think they should continue giving away money to the people that are making them money, the drivers.
Any show about car racing is cool in my book especially when it is about us guys that are modding our cars for fun.
Since when is racing about being the slower guy, but the slicker weasel? There's something pure and honest about torque, speed, 60fts, and ETs. Making it into some sleazy, trial-lawyer sandbagging competition just saddens me.

Me too. I loved the new Pinks. I hope what waupachino said isn't so!!!

I don't like pinks - good concept poorly presented.
c'mon - it's all a power trip for the guy that feels like he has to be the bad-guy starter. Makes him look like a putz. Trying to hard to be a tough guy.
If they could just negotiate a spot and then set the lights to give the spot - then let them run - fine. You could get two or three matches done in the half hour.
I hate the whiny crap (they call it negotiating) and the fact that you see three or four 15 second or less runs in a half hour. Can you say commercial overload?
best regards -
