03 Convertible. Leak appeared at 3100 miles, just this past year. The three year warranty was just up, but I had the extended warranty. Repair was done at Rydell in Northridge CA.

When I got my car it would leave a spot on the garage floor about the size of a nickel.......only after running it pretty good & getting it hot).

One day it just stopped & its been fine since.

My 98 vert was overfilled and was leaking out the vent as well. Put the car up on stands, level it out see if the diff is overfilled. There is a vent on the drivers side all the way up on the top. From what I have read, if it is not the size of a tablespoon there is not much to worry about. Mine used to randomly leak and only about the size of a pea. Once drained the excess out, it stopped. Try that first. Then look at the axle then side cover of the diff.

My 04 started to leak around 3500 miles. It was leaking for a few weeks before I noticed it. Not a drip but just enough to get the bottom of the rear suspension dirty.

No leaks in my 2.73 rear diff, switched to a 3.42 Z06 rear diff and still no leaks. 22,400 miles total, only about 1000 miles on the new diff.
