I know that Greg is on vacation - my buddy has no issue reaching Kewl.

As far as their reputation for customer service - I've read those things about Vette Essentials lately too. The bottom line is that even the best (like VE) which is a small business has issues keeping up with emails, phone messages, etc when they are very busy - and then compound it when the principal (Matt at VE) is sick for a week or so, or goes on a much needed vacation (Greg at Kewl).

We are very quick to jump to conclusions and make statements that they don't want our business - which is not at all the case. These small sole proprietorships don't have a robust customer service department staffed by a group of people in a call center like a Midamerica or Ecklers, etc. Often they are the chief cook and bottle washer, as well as the secretary and the accountant, as well as the lead worker creating their product.

I'm not defending companies that purposely set out to screw their customers (and we've seen a lot of those lately here too), but be a little patient especially around this time of the year. .02 deposited!

No one is jumping to conclusions, just stating the facts. This is not a new issue, we have been hearing this here for some time now (almost weekly). Bottom line if customer service sucks before the sale what do you get after the sale...

Just hate to see a fellow Vetter get screwed!

I hate to see ANYONE get screwed. I wasn't acusing you of jumping to conclusions, I was merely cautioning against that.

As far as service after the sale - I can say that I have been very pleased with Kewl's workmanship and their service. We have had parts that didn't meet our expectations, and sent them back to be redone. There has never been an argument or an issue with redoing the part.

Unless you have had first hand negative experience - your opinions are based on second and third hand accounts. My first hand experience was positive. Greg promised a product and a delivery date - and I got exactly what was promised against a very tight deadline. I am not denying or disagreeing with those that have stated less than positive experiences, I am simply stating my experience and my opinions - whether you agree or not.

I've got the stock black 3-sided one off my 98 coupe if you want it. We don't have front plates in Florida, so I don't need it. I'll even pay the shipping for you. Consider it a little holiday good cheer. PM me if you're interested.

I have posted recently about my problems with KEWL (not a forum vendor) and I agree that if and when you receive your part it will probably be top notch! The problem is that I was lied too by GREG and TRACEY multiple times( the usual "THE PARTS ON THE WAY") When I tryed to contact for a refund I got Gregs voice mail which he failed to respond to so I called my credit card company and it took 6 days for my chargeback to be put back. Another forum vendor (Maiik Dragon) told me his part he ordered was great, he ordered in April and got it in Aug! On there web site they say your credit card will not be charged until your part is shipped, both times I ordered my card was imediately charged and the part hadnt been sent. This is a first person account , just do a search and you will find lots of threads about Kewl and all the stories are similiar, great parts and very very slow delivery.

When I dealt with Kewl a while back, I had the same experiance as far as customer service. But in the end they came through. I dealt with VE recently, and had a similar experiance, BUT also in the end I was taken care of. We all want our parts as fast as we can get em. Once our credit cards are charged, we count the days until our merchandise arrives. Who wouldn't?! Especially since these parts are not cheap, we should expect A++ customer service. Since these companies are small, usually only a hand full of employees, i've learned to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I bought the surround from Kewl a while back. Arrived in a timley fashion
and the quality is superb. They did tell me that they have to paint these on a per order basis so they are not in stock.

Very well put. Yes, sometimes they are a little slow in responding, but they have always gotten back to me and their stuff is excellent.

Well I would hope that there is more than 1 person running the place.. I would have ordered online, but didn't feel comfortable since it didn't seem to switch over to "https" for security when entering my CC #.. Greg did send me an email that there was a problem with the vendor who does his CC orders... I did offer to assist him with getting it fixed (my connections to the vendor are very good).. Never heard back and no return phone calls...

Now while we all have issues, this does not bode well for someone who wants to have a business tho.. Hope he gets it resolved, as his stuff does look nice..
