The right size DELCO should treat you right if your electrical system is up to par.
I'm a total fan of Interstate batteries for long life when useage is low. Example, I have a 50 mo. Interstate that is going into it 63rd month on a car that only gets driven once a week for the past 3 1/2 years. I've never put the battery on a Battery Tender. The car averages about 300 miles/month.
Optima's are a popular choice but require the battery to be bench charged every six months to keep warranty valid. (Read the fine print in the warranty).
My Red Top had been great when the Vert was a daily driver. Two months in transit to England has taken its toll. It was dead yesterday and its on charge now. I've just invested in a Battery Tender as it won't be driven too often and these cars are hard on batteries.
Make sure you get the Professional series. They carry a 50-month free replacement warranty. My OEM ACDelco is now 5.5 years old and still starting like a champ.
