Headlights

I cant see giving a vendor hard earned cash above and beyond what we can get the parts for less expensive somewhere else.
So far here is what I have found:
Local GM Chevy dealer prices:
1997-04 (C5) Right European Export Headlight, part# = 16524063, price at GM dealer = $148
1997-04 (C5) Left European Export Headlight, part# = 16524064, price at GM dealer = $148
Gene Culley will most likely beat this price!
I looked on the PIAA bulb website and there are tons of bulbs. What bulb matches the PAAS 90/135 watts bulbs listed in this post??
Grandpa Bear
Can you provide any information on the relays and or any of the other parts that we will need? If we order the wiring harness kit ($17.99) from Ecklers do you know if it is complete and comes with a wiring diagram? I know we need relays but hopefully we can find a good source for those also.
If anyone else has useful information on parts sources or conversion information,,please jump in.
Thanks a million!!

What's the "right and left "rule the road" they mention?
Thanks
Roger
We drive on the correct side of the road so the headights need to dip the other way

PFYC have the harness and relay kit for this mod
Its a 135/90 dual filament bulb and the harness adapts the wiring to take the higher wattage. I have the T85s rather than T84s being in UK
For once I could help you out.
You can get the whole kit (plug and play) for $350 from pyfc.
(2) T84 glass headlights
(2) PIAA 90/135 bulbs
(2) High Wattage Harnesses
I am about to order the kit from them.
Let me know if you get a GP going. They may be interested in offering one.

The kit includes two new glass headlight assemblies to use the PAAS hi-lo single bulb headlamp, necessary wiring and two relays. The installation was a simple remove and replace. Wiring into the headlamp electrical circuit was exactly explained in the information kit provided. The relays gound to the battery negative terminal. The relays were mounted next to the battery.
The task in actual installation took two of us less than an hour, which included re-alignment of the headlamps.
Vast improvement in headlight power, equivalent to the HIDS without the costs involved. On low beam, the output appears (objectively speaking) twice that of the current USA version. On high beam the projection makes the roadway appear as daylight as no beam center is observed.
The bulb output reads 90/135 vs the US two bulb version at 60/80.
watts do not equal light output though.
whatever halogen that you have put in your car does not equal the c6 light output rating of 3200 lumens per bulb.
the most lumen output of a halogen bulb is going to be the HIR bulbs at 1700 for the low beams and 2500 for the high beams.
this is what true HID's look like on a C5:

I don't see this listed on the PFYC website. You got a link?

it is (1) high wattage harness not 2

Thanks a million for the info! I have done lots of business with PFYC in the past and was very successful with generaing a GP for Heated Seat kits. Had almost 30 people in the GP. They were very generous and gave us a great price.
I will contact them and see if they can hook us up on the EURO Light kit GP.
Thanks again and I will keep this post up-dated on the results of my GP efforts and what it will consist of.
Wish me luck
Im jumping in with both feet!

If $150 is for the entire kit, that's a BONUS PLAN!

$299. shipping included. This kit usually runs elsewhere for 4-500$ I wouldn't trust any kit on that famous auction site at those low ball prices. Davis Jones has sold over 40 of these kits for the C5 on this forum in the past month. He has a website banner DJ Motorsport under C5 Accessories. You should read the posts from satified customers..I'm one of them.

But... these Euro housings only have ONE bulb right? They are a dual filament H4 bulb instead of separate 9005/6 bulbs? I am looking at HID kits and would like to know I am ordering the right thing.
I just ordered a set of these Euro Headlamps from Gene Culley and they were only 120 bucks a piece.
I am thinking this HID setup and I should be in business...

I like that idea...
