This problem is not isolated to Illegals. A truck full of white trash pulled out in front of my firend and he hit them. Turns out the driver had his liscense pulled for a dui and had no insurance. cop shows up and does his thing. Guy doesn't get a ticket for no insurance, get one for the liscense, and doesn't get anything for the four kids sitting in the bed of his truck. My firend was 16 at the time and had to use his insurace to get the car fixed. His insurance alsmot doubled. Maby we should start impounding cars when driver don't have insurance. Would be a better deterrant than $50 ticket.
BTW, i have state farm for everything, and to get my deductable from $1000 down to $250 on my vehicles was only $4 a month. Cheap piece of mind to me.

No you don't have to have insurance to be an American. You just have to have insurance to drive a vehicle and get it licensed. IT'S ILLEGAL!! At least in the state I'm in.

 

My vette was totalled by a 17 year old girl on her third car (totalled two already, and has totalled another car since my vette)

some people just don't deserve a license.

before that, I got backed into at my parents house by their Saudi-Arabian neighbors. I was parked in the street, and she backed up really fast into my vette on the other side of the street. She knocked on the door at least, and said "I don't feel right just hitting it and leaving, so now that you know, I'm going to leave." I told her ot wait a minute and I called the cops. Then her husband showed up after the cop did, he started freaking out about how they are treated so poorly because they aren't white. ok. You did hit my car. The cop writes her a ticket for negigent driving, and the husband goes off again because he's not paying the ticket. The cop tells me I can go, and he stands out with the guy for a few more minutes, then another officer arrives. I went out to dinner shortly there after, so I don't know what happened.

I had a $500 deductible, but they had insurance (AAA ins. sucks, BTW) and it was around $2400 to fix. Had to get a new door and 1/4 panel.

illegal immigrant=no insurance. This is a given. They are taking over our country and our politicians don't care. They closed down downtown Chicago last year so the illegals can march for thier rights.

 

Sorry to hear about your car, I hope you can get it fixed to your satisfaction. I hate to say it, but if the individual that hit you didn't have proper insurance or ID, looks like you are going to be covering this one on your own either through your insurance or out of pocket, which sucks. Even if you can find the person again, more then likely they will not have any assets or money to compensate you for your damages. Good luck with the repairs. By the way, this is the exact reason I lowered my deductible to 0 for comprehensive and 100 for collison. State Farm won't do a 0 deductible for Collison otherwise it would be zero also.

Seems to be a lot of this going around...I had a girl decide to back up into the nose of my Vette 2 weeks ago. She decided that she didn't want to exit out of the parking lot and put it in reverse. I was sitting there waiting for her to turn out and she hit me! She wanted to settle without the cops until I told her she was looking at a minimum of $1500 in repairs. Cop gets there, cites her for causing the accident and no insurance (her insurance card was 3 years old...she was 19, had the same card since she got her license). Luckily, her mother did have insurance on the car and contacted their insurance company. Even better, for me, her insurance company is the same as mine! I lucked out with no deductible. But, now I have to see a chiropractor for the next couple of months because the impact screwed up the left side of my neck. Be thankful that you weren't hurt! I think I would take paying the $1000 deductible over having the pain in my neck (literally). I also lucked out with the body shop my insurance company recommended. They have 1 guy on staff that does all of the repairs on Corvettes. Nobody else touches them there. They are figuring they will need to replace the nose (has stress cracks) and are a little concerned about matching the color. They may end up having to repaint my whole car to get the colors to match. We'll see. I drop it off tomorrow morning for the repairs to start.

 

Sorry about your car that does suck but keep in mind that their are people of every color and speaking every language in the world among us that don't care about their cars much less yours.

I take great care in parking far far away from all others on the weird day when I might take one of the vettes to a store or something and I know that this will happen to me one day as well it's not if, it's more like when.

Most people just don't care about their cars it's just something they put gas in and drive I go to the local gym a few nights a week people will drive around the parking lot 10 times trying to get a parking space close to the door They came to work out right I guess walking is just too much

 

We already have one here.Black drivers, white drivers, hispanic drivers - nobody had insurance here. Now everybody drives around in disposable cars. To the original poster, good luck with the repairs.

Sorry about your car. Since they don't have insurance, maybe you can have them get a loan at Bank of America. The least they can do is pay your deductible.

I have one thing to say... SPEAK OUR LAUNGAGE, or go back where you came from! I don't care who moves to America, who leaves or who stays, but I am tired of having to adjust my lifestyle or be told "I should learn spanish so I can do my job better". BULL SH**! Absolutely! i've noticed that 'most' of everybody on this forum has proper morals and common sense with the exception of some of you, like a couple multiple replies ive seen on this thread. this country is pathetically heading into a downward spiral towards socialism, which inturn will probably lead to communism... pretty soon, with the direction all these libs are pushing, if some of the comments said on here about illegals were said, then you might have cops knockin at your door responding to a report from the most crooked organization today, the aclu... i'm too sick to talk about it anymore if that happened to me(i cant afford to pay for some trashy morons mistake) i would not be a happy camper and i would have to hold myself back to avoid getting arrested

 

Glad to see some people get it. I didn't want to to waste the effort to say it because my wording would have been a little harsher and I would have ended up being banned.

 

It already IS a requirement. You can't become a citizen unless you speak and read English and can pass a test proving as much.

 

Uninsured motorists are much more likely to hit and run in an accident. Poor economic areas and where there are a lot of illegals have a much higher rate of leaving the scene of an accident than the national average. In some counties in Florida, hit and runs are almost becoming the norm.

Don't expect your government to do anything about it. Our economy has become service oriented rather than manufacturing as in the past. The more people there are to buy things, the greater the economic growth. Politician's only care about getting elected and that means they need economic growth so they can say they did a good job on the economy.
