[Z06] CTS-V anyone??
But, I agree.. If the E55's were cheaper, I'd be all over one in a heartbeat!
Dealers cannot give the GTOs away. Not sure why. Maybe the typical age range and the price is a problem.
CTS V is a great car. (I have a CTS in my "pool" of cars.) I am a Caddy forum member, and I spend a ton of time on that forum. Only complaint is about rear ends. Some have had oil leaks; some claim noise.
I talked to my local Caddy svc mgr who is a sharp guy. He simply said that some have a rear end problem; others do not. Those with the problem can cure it by adding "the additive." At that point, he needed to take a phone call, and I did not get a chance to ask him about "the additive."
At any rate, I plan on buying the stuff for my CTS.
One other comment: Based on a guy feeling, I think the vette provides much more technology, engineering experience, etc, but some people need 4 seats. Another good car in my mind is the STS V. Supposedly, dealers are marking them down from $77k to $57k because of the slow market. Other than wheelbase, I am not sure what the STS V provides. That is also a very naive statement on my part.

Also, drove the STS V in Vegas at a test drive program. Liked it, too, but the smaller, more nimble CTS V, with the 6 spd. was more enjoyable.
], and would start searching heavily in about 2 months- new body and #'s will most likely be released.
I still see a CTS-V in my future when I trade in my Z06. Used one are going for very reasonable and low prices in the $30K's.

The rear diff isn't even rated for the STOCK toruqe, never mind modding. I've personally seen the rear give up on an Auto-X track. I love the idea of the car, but until they put a proper pumpkin in they won't get my dollars.
