to answer a few questions.

"If my ZO6 has torque management how come I can smoke the tires in first and second?"
Well, the torque management is set up stock to kick in at around 400 foot pounds of torque. To churn your tires in first or second with a clutch drop takes much less than that and once they're spinning a fraction of that 400 ft-lbs.

"I make 640 ft-lbs of torque how can that be if my ZO6 has torque management?"
If you are making 640 ft-lbs of torque your car has been tuned and the torque management tables have been raised to the maximum.

If you have been inside tuning software (EFI Live, HP tuners, LS1 edit) you will realize that if the computer can identify the volumetric efficiency, torque is by no means a difficult calculation to perform to 10-15% accuracy. RPM, throttle position, maniford pressure, MAF, fuel delivery, intake temp, mix um up and shake out torque.

On an automatic equipped C5 what part of the torque converter tells the computer how much torque the engine is making?

Put some sticky tires (R compound) on your ZO6 and you'll most likely feel the torque management working in second gear. Tune the torque management table up to it's max and you can feel a little more umpf is available.

All C5 have torque management, C6s have even more.

Interesting, a couple weekends ago, on the dyon I put down 665rwtq... I have never touched the TM, but will have to look again at the tables and see what it says. I know this has been argued over and over whether or not the Z06 has TM?

Default rev limiter & fuel shut off

All I see is how every one is asking the same thing.

I want a simple answer and that is CAN THIS BE BY-PASSED YES or NO
Anyone in there right mind is not going to nail it to the boards till
they lunch their motor. You are the one who controls that right lead foot.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS ANOTHER TOPIC I NEED TO COMMENT ON!!!!!!!!
Love this grrrreat country where we have FREEDOM of SPEECH
Awhile back one guy is wanting to know how to really clean and
dress up the exhaust tips on the TI-exhaust. Well I had just went
through doing this on my 2004 ZO6.

I just want to say when someone really tries to help you and not by hearsay but by actually doing it myself as I did!!!!!!!!! Then I take the time to tell you step by step including materials needed.

You should at least have the common decency to aknowledge and to
at the very least thank that person for trying to help you.
I AM NOT GOING TO SAY WHO IT IS FOR IT WOULD BE EMBARRASSING
for others to know this guy is thankless and unappreciative.

HEY AM I UPSET HELL YES I'am

Ummm, porchrd, did you reply to the wrong thread? You posted a comment with a title concerning the rev limiter and fuel cutoff, then you mentioned polishing exhaust tips---but this is a 4-year-old thread about traction control and torque management.
