When the Dealer pulled my car around for me to see for the first time.
I did not care if it was A4 or a M6. That said for me I like auto a little better. Easy to drive and over all better resale.

Something I found out during my corvette wooing (3 months ago) is that the resale value of mn6 is better for the vette. For a lot of other cars auto has a better resale value ( 5spd jettas for example would have a huge loss in resale value).
Late 60's muscle cars are worth more in their standard transmission form (all else equal).
Isn't the vette the only car that charges extra for a manual transmission and has automatic standard?
Anyhow 6spd or auto doesnt make one more of a man and one less of a man...If you have auto live with it and if you have 6spd live with it. There is no sense in thinking about the other transmission.
I drive a 5 speed to work every day, 03 Jetta. I took the Vette to work and ended up in traffic yesterday and was all to glad I was in the Automatic!
It just depends but all to often I am very pleased to have the automatic as my wife and I go for some long drives up the coast and just around on the weekend and I am able to relax a lot better!
IMHO! Only! I do prefer the Auto and I seeked a auto as I bought my C5!
Get whatever you want and just drive it. That's why they make both. Different strokes for different folks. If they were all the same for instance, color, engine, transmission, they would be boring.
i think stick is more fun every now and then, but for me i hate having my foot on the clutch at every stoplight and getting stuck behind traffic. so for me im going to get a auto in a few months

Hindsight is 20/20. I now wish I had bought the Z06 that was 3K more than my coupe....eh, what are you going to do?
I have an A4 CE coupe and I keep up just fine on a roadcourse with the Z's. Its all about your driving style. It spends .1% of its life on a track and I wish sometimes I could shift it further than 1-3 but hey, it gets the job done. 99% of the time I am stuck in DC traffic. Thats when the A4 shines.
I will agree, there is no such thing as a bad C5 choice.
This is a Corvette Forum.
It is NOT against the rules to post same topic every day or every week.
I think that people who feel offended by it beat a dead horse themselves posting the same old horse.
People come and go on this forum, so when a topic reappears, some fresh perspectives might be expressed...or perhaps not. Bottom line: we all have the ability to decide which threads are of interest and which ones we should skip and pass over. But people shouldn't be slammed for bringing up topics that are of interest to them. If the topic is not of interest to you, than move on to one that is. Freedom of choice...it's a beautiful thing.

Reason: grammer
if you're a retard without any coordination, get an A4. If you're athletic and coordinated, get an M6.
The vette engine has so much torque that the M6 is very easy to drive. A small engine, auto all the way.. otherwise i don't see what the big deal is. of course, i'm very coordinated, and very athletic... so it's easy for me... sorry to sound arrogant, but i am. lol
