More people can drive a auto than a 6 speed. IE better resale.
That maybe true, but Don't you think it's just as likely, that more people getting into used Corvettes, would rather have manuals?
Take a look at the used C4's for example. I bet money more people buying them would prefer the 5/6spd over the automatics. Hence why they would actually have a HIGHER resale than the autos.
Supply and demand. There's more autos out there, it's harder to get an M6. Meaning finding one with all your options is even HARDER with the manual. Harder to find = more expensive to get(99% of the time)

I never said higher resale I just ment better
resale. I have started to see some older members looking into swaping thare M6 to a A4
When the Dealer pulled my car around for me to see for the first time.
I did not care if it was A4 or a M6. That said for me I like auto a little better. Easy to drive and over all better resale.
An a4 can be tuned, amazing what a difference shift & torque converter lockup point adjustments can make in the a4 cars. But the bottom line is personal preferrence and maybe how you plan to use the car.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could adjust shift pionts and firmness on the fly at any time just by moving your arm?
I don't feel like going into a long explaination so I'll try an anology. More people know how to use velco shoes than tie laces. They are faster to put on and generally don't come undone. But you are trying to sell adult mens basketball shoes. Which one would be easier to sell? Yes, this example is extreme, but you get the principle, no?

Auto:
larger market share. (pro)
More for sale (con)
6 speed:
Smaller market share (con)
Less for sale (pro)
I would rather be in the larger market share and price my Vette to sell.
I guess its about the same I do not want to be in the middel
any more on this post.

Yeah, I get your point. It just seems to me that the US manual C5 market is big enouph, although smaller than auto, that if I price my car to sell, I could still sell in a flash? See my point? With the internet, I can reach soo many shoppers that the fewer number of manual shoppers isn't hurting me much. If I were forced to sell my car only by the local paper I would agree with you.
