Me likie the Auto also. If I want to cruise...the tranny does the work...when I want to keep the rpms up for horsing around...like the m6 guys...I too can shift into a lower gear and keep it there and go up and down with the gear shift. I have both worlds.
Besides...my wife cannot drive a stick.

People...get over this appreciating asset investment thought. That ain't happening for MANY years. Look at the late C3 prices. They still hover around $10,000.
You might get a few dollars more for the M6? but you still paid more and that extra cost depreciated also.
Buy what you like and don't worry about it.
