I used the stock shifter for about two months, then went to the Hurst. I then tried the C-6 shifter for about two months. I liked the position of the C-6 shifter and the **** so I put the Hurst back in after I heated the shaft, matched the bend of the C-6, drilled and tapped the shaft for the C-6 **** and went to the light springs adjusted very light. I am very happy with it now.

One of the main reasons I got the Hurst was because my factory C5 Z06 shifter some times had a hard time going into reverse. It is not the Hurst that is doing it, it is the transmission itself. Mine has 19K miles and was driven conservatively too, so its not a wear problem.
